  1. Followed by ''We're gonna win the league'' Didn't think I'd ever hear those two sung together...!
  2. Yeah, I'm pretty excited too to be honest. Not feeling any pressure, as even if we lose them all, we're still going to be in and around it all.
  3. If he doesn't, then something is horribly wrong with the England set-up (which we kind of already know!)

    Fonte

He wasn't a natural captain, as we saw when it took him a year to adjust to it. He was never really captain material, yeah he spoke a lot and shouted at the referee, but there were stronger candidates to be captain rather than him I think. Lambert, Morgan and Fonte for one. I believe we did it mainly for the reason you state - a kid from the academy, all the way through, and what other academy kids could aim for. I truly hope none of them turn out like that precious idiot though.
  5. He's got a hell of a lot more integrity than our slimy Argie ever had.
  6. 'The club have a strategic way of looking at transfers and my job is to manage that,’ said Rodgers. ‘They have entrusted me to put my football vision in place.’ Whoops.
  7. His current excuses are up there with Poch's ''the pitch is too small' ********...
  8. We go into these games with no pressure. A return of 7-9 would kind of suggest we're on the brink of something spectacular.
  9. So would any team! (Look at Utd!) We do have plenty more to chose from. We're not an injury from Jos any more, or Guly, Or Danny Fox, Lee etc. We've got Gardos who is a very good CB, Matty Target who is a very able and promising full back. We then have Shane Long, Mane, Jay (shortly), Gallagher, Tadic, Pelle all in the attacking area's. I think we're notably stronger in terms of depth, obviously not as much as the 'big sides' but we've got more than we did last year, which was emphasised when Long came on and changed the game on Saturday.
  10. Given his new role a a bench warmer, and a reserve team starter in the CL, I'd say Lallana is feeling on the top of the world right now after those comments.... Deserves it.
  11. I heard them getting into an excited mess over Swansea, and also over WHU a few weeks ago. We beat both, away from home. We've had hard games, to suggest otherwise is so small minded. Bloody media.
  12. Umm, it's usually released on the monday?
  13. Understatement of the millennium!
  14. Arsenal have conceded more headed goals this season than Southampton have conceded goals. Unbelievable.
  15. Chambers is having an absolute nightmare. Never seen him this bad. Wengers coaching taking effect I see.
  16. Go aldershot!
  17. Our goals against column is quite frankly ridiculous, every other side is on double the number at the very least.
  18. I thought the same Bear. For all the money they spent last window, that is an incredibly **** return. Only 2 class players in that lineup are Eriksen and Loris IMO. Although MP is doing his best to play Erikson out of position.
  19. This is why I don't go to White hart lane anymore. We are absolutely terrible and Poch needs to be sacked A glory fan if there ever was one.
  20. Results like this make me even more frustrated that we couldn't cause them any issues of note when we played.
  21. Umm, it's not hard to work out is it? I remember watching some of the highlights and he was out of position, caught out, done for pace - there were few on here that were questioning the signing. (not me at the time tbh) Also doesn't take a genius to see the views of the Lyon fans at the time he was sold. They were delighted.
  22. Impossible to forget the impression of two of the best DM's in Europe have though, CB's don't get that protection anywhere else.
  23. There's no doubt about it, he is having a total nightmare. This is right back to his Lyon days, as bad as that. But with us, when he was isolated 1 on 1, he always struggled and was most of the time beaten. (Away at Spurs last season being one example).

    JayRod

Would be sad to see Jay go, one of my favourite players. But we've shown we can live without him. If we can use that £20m to replace him and sprinkle a bit more depth in other positions then I'm for it.
  25. To be honest, I see where you're coming from. Our start has kind of enabled us to go into these games with no massive pressure, we can just pit ourselves against them and see how we do. You're also right in that they're not going to come and park the bus, they will attack and there will be space. I think we'll win at last one of the home games, but away will be the test.
