  1. I think we have the Lunatic Fringe on this thread.
  2. I would have thought so, the bloke looked dead on his feet in the play off final.
  3. This is exactly it, which people don't seem to grasp. Under Cortese there was genuine growth for the club, L1, NPC, bottom half of PL...but now, a club of our size has hit it's ceiling. The players know that themselves. That's all it is.
  4. If this is how we're going to react when any of our players mentions the thought of another club, then we're going to have a very long 6 weeks. Bring on the season.
  5. Good for him. Trash player.
  6. Nah. Suarez did the same last year, Lukaku is doing the same at the mo. Bale did the same before he moved from Spurs. Ronaldo before he moved to Madrid. It happens because it's the question of the month to ask...and they'll obviously give an answer like that. It's just generic really. Of course they'd like to play for that club, but if they don't bid, we don't accept, then it's a non-discussion point. But that doesn't sound interesting in the press, so they need to make a story.
  7. No ****. The only reason he jumped is because he got wind of something brewing, in my opinion.
  8. Our new GK shouldn't be seen as a number 2, they need to be a number 1 straight away. That's why I think this guy will just be a loan as squad cover, we'll get an up and coming young keeper to replace Forster. That's my feeling anyway
  9. I think we're after 2x keepers, 1 loan and 1 youngish. This will be the loan I imagine.
  10. Good riddance to bad rubbish. This will allow a total restructure of the most corrupt organisation on the planet.
  11. Blatter has resigned.
  12. Out of interest, how did he really do at Boca? I saw he scored a few goals, but don't know more than that.
  13. Brendan Rodgers will survive as Liverpool manager - but only if he accepts the transfer policy implemented by the club's owners. I wonder what that policy will include? ''Don't spend any more of our flaming money''.
  14. Now that most clubs in the world have done a ''try, but no thanks'' with him, maybe we're big enough for him now? Utter cock. If it's a free transfer, then go for it.
  15. He used to be, but these days he's primarily used as a Xavi type MF, but slightly deeper.
  16. We've got 2 more years of the psycho.
  17. He is an absolutely horrific human being. We must have some sort of grounds to be able to cancel his contract without payment? (obviously not on this incident, but his fighting with players at Inter, here...coaches...) Let him rot in some lower brazilian league somewhere.
  18. Utd have been sniffing, Chelsea will be looking to replace Ivanovic sooner rather than later, City with Zabetta.

Atletcio are also considering selling Miranda in this window, who Chelsea have also been monitoring apparently. This one will run and run, I guess it will be up to the club to decide when to move away and onto a replacement.
  20. Some people aren't all about money, especially when they've still got plenty of mileage. I think Clyne is guaranteed a big move in his career sooner rather than later, so this isn't to be seen as a ''last chance'' for his big move or anything like that. At this moment in time, looking at football-matters only, it's not the most stable of moves. He can and will do much better. He should bide his time and wait for a big, big club to come in.
  21. Not sure you should be announcing that on a public forum tbh. Each to their own I guess.

Absolutely. He's not just a CB for us, he's an additional DM and a right back. As you said, he's 3 players in one..... He'd be 4th choice at Chelsea I imagine, but they probably see him in the same way as us - cover at RB, cover in CM. Bit of a jack of all trades for them, but I doubt he'd go there as a regular starter - especially with Zouma waiting in the wings also. I honestly believe that Toby will only go to a club whereby he is seen as a key player and an important player, who plays every week if fit. The difference with Toby is that he's tried a big club (A.Madrid) and hasn't been a regular there. He's already on decent $$ there and I doubt Chelsea will throw 100k+ at him, as they'd see him as a squad player. I'm somewhat still confident we can keep him, but it will drag I reckon.
