  1. He's always been a bit precious, you can tell by the way he acts on the field as soon as he's fouled or touched. But this is quite clearly agent instructed manoeuvring to either a) secure him a new/bigger contract, or b) to secure him a move, to a new/bigger contract. He'll probably get neither though, so fail.
  2. No, that's doom-mongering, as with the majority of your posts! I can tell you that Jay's contract is a work in progress and every intention to be sorted - one bit of good news!
  3. Why wouldn't she have our support? In a round about way - she has bankrolled us from L1 to Top 10 in the PL, so she deserves our support. The only question marks I have at this moment in time are over their long-term plans, are they really willing to **** away 5 years of work...? Time will tell.
  4. Why are we voting for a Liverpool player?
  5. Afellay is decent, but has an horrendous recent injury record. Still can't believe they spent £15m on Song! I'd say Tello would be a good capture from that lot...
  6. Never recovered from injury, lost all his pace. Swansea fans rate him as a total liability.
  7. Can probably summarise what will be said into a short paragraph. ''I had a great time at Southampton, the owners obviously have new idea's. I wanted to take Southampton to new levels, everyone believed in the vision I had, but they wouldn't allow me to do that. The players would not have been let go on my watch as the ambition remained within me, but not within the club. I can promise all fans that I was running the club financially well, the owners just decided to withdraw funding''. I'e I was amazing, all success was down to me, the owners who bankrolled my ambition and who i wanted to continue to bankroll my ambition are nothing but jerks etc. etc. Done a lot of good stuff, but he is a total PR disaster.
  8. What really frustrates me more than anything....manager really wanted, lots of players clearly being sounded out by clubs, big bids coming in....yet we didn't achieve anything major with what is likely to be our best team for decades, we just finished 8th, behind Man Utd who had their worst season for yonks. The way we treated the cups will forever **** me off, we'll never be in such a strong position again to tackle the cups. We were clearly good enough if we put out our best side!
  9. Unfortunately we're looking at the wrong one, we need to go after Ben Davies. Neil Taylor is horrific.
  10. At the end of the day, what are they supposed to say? More complete PR guff, or do we actually wait for them to announce something concrete? I'll go with the later, as their PR guff has done my head in thus far. If I had to put up with daily updates from RK I think I'd lose the will to live.
  11. I'd demand a hell of a lot more than £10m up front.....I know transfers aren't paid in full, but £10m a year for 3 years is ****. By the time we've got the full £30m we could well be playing in the NPC, and that money would then be used to cover debts.
  12. What a totally pointlessly **** article.
  13. lol. that's that then.
  14. what's the point of £10m a year for the next 3 years? If they really want him, pay it all up front or sod off.
  15. To be fair, At.Madrid are a pretty big club over there. It's a great story to see someone else win it though, but they do have some tremendous players in that side.
  16. Borni is alright, lively little player who is a very skill full footballer to boot. Not prolific per say, but technically very handy.
  17. To be honest, they've waffled for weeks. The last thing we need is more talk. Time to see actions now, and those actions will either be the exodus most are expecting, or a surprisingly resolute approach and the continuation of what we've been doing.
  18. Sherwood has a damn decent record there. Weird call for him to be sacked, what's he done to deserve to be sacked?? Crazy club with a crap philosophy, not worth the hassle for MP in my opinion.
  19. Wigan beating QPR....come on!!
  20. The Rickie Lambert story just gets better and better - he deserves everything he gets. Just such an amazing story that will likely never be repeated again.
  21. Absolutely, investment is the key. But my argument is that if KL isn't prepared to invest, then sell us to someone who is. I don't want to see us become a Villa MK2 after Randy pulled back on his investment.
  22. They spent a fair whack to be honest. McCarthy was about £15m, Lukaku's loan fee wouldn't have been cheap. McGeady came in for about £6-7m. The wages on Barry wouldn't have been cheap, as well as the loan fee - and obviously they reinvested into a new contract for Baines. So I think they probably did reinvest a big chunk of that Fellani money.
  23. That's a bad thread, full of the same rat-pack as well all backing each other up. Who'd have thought it.
  24. The problem is that people are assuming we'll be reinvesting every penny, when everything has pointed towards any $$$ we get...covering debts. They didn't make the comments about specific figures, and inheriting a difficult financial situation for the sake of it. They did it to prime us for sales and lower future investment in the first team squad.
