the traffic setup would need to be reshaped entirely. Getting in and out of Eastleigh on a daily basis is an utter slog, throw 32k+ people there, and you wouldn't be moving for hours based on the current roads etc.

It's a modern ground, the only time I remember having an issue with rain was during the Leicester game back in 06 and Palace in 05 i think. But if anything, the rain will now slow down to the normal begin light drizzle we're renown for down here!

I'm more worried about being blown into the Itchen on my way to the ground..!

No, where exactly would you play Revel...? We're more than covered in that area!

I think it's more for their youth academy to be fair, not sure why the BBC have picked it up as news worthy news for their site though.

It's OK. They've solved their striking problems. West Ham sign 18-year-old Peterborough striker Jaanai Gordon

There's been a bit going on behind the scenes, club see's at as an opportunity for him to play and he wants to play in WC year. Oddly, the club still see him as an asset and a player for the future. But in terms of this season, however good he was on Sunday, he will not be a regular for us this year. Makes sense for both parties I guess. Can't see us actually selling him yet though.
-
I think he's off on loan.

He wasn't exactly poor. He struggled a little, and was probably pretty average last year, but he wasn't poor. This year he's taken his game up a notch, and I'm convinced that it's down to him having a really solid pre-season and being injury free. I have a feeling he was playing through injury quite a lot over the last couple of seasons.

Are we one of the hardest teams to beat in the league?
S-Clarke replied to Tomobz's topic in The Saints
This was actually potentially a decent positive thread, before it was derailed by the tool of the year. When will the mods do anything? He's only posts to get reactions and wind people up. New posters are taken in by him, and it all gets a bit messy. I think we're hard to beat, I don't think anyone has had an easy game against us this year. We may have lost a couple, but I don't think Everton will be coming away saying that it was an easy game. We're well organised, disciplined and stick to our principles - win, lose or draw. It's that panic free approach which will see us return to winning ways very soon. -
Ah yes, that's the one. Wasn't he lifelongsaint on here? Blimey, this is a bit of a blast back in time. I remember having a lot of PM exchanges with him, he was very ITK on the Paul Allen saga - which let's be honest, duped a fair few of us.

The best bit of all that, was the potential zoo and theme park. I was seriously looking forward to going to the petting zoo, before we entertained Barcelona at the megadome. HelpMeRhonda indeed.

Why people pay any attention to what ''laurel and hardy'' say is beyond me.

Don't jest.....it will probably happen in one section of the crowd!

2 games are never the same, and for 45 mins at their place we kept them at arms length pretty easily. This will be a totally different game, and I'd expect us to be on the front foot for a good % of the game. I reckon we'll get ourselves onto 30 points come the end of New Years day.

It's really not worth opening debate with him. He just makes it up as he goes along to get attention, with one of his many accounts.

Personally, I think we'll finish the season smack bang where we are right now. I think we'll be at the bottom of the ''Europe'' mini league, if you know what I mean. Great progression, and then next season we can try to work ourselves up that mini-league! Bit of an ask to overhaul the likes of Everton, Spurs and Newcastle this year though.

8 pages by 7pm IMO.

Realistic position. We were never a top 3 side. Where we are now is par the course of this side, so thankfully the spell we had has allowed us to retain our true position whilst giving us the opportunity to still have aims in the 2nd half.
-
Wasn't necessarily on about this thread, but the reactions during the period, contained within threads after we lost to the likes of Spurs, Chelsea, Villa etc.
-
That's pretty much the story right there. When you add our worst spell fixture wise, with our worst spell injury wise, then there will only be one outcome. Not sure why we had so many people going off on one during the last 6 weeks, it's really no surprise how things occurred. But we're now on the other side of that pretty much, and amazingly not massively damaged in terms of position and our goals are still there to aim for.

Welcome to 2022!

Ah isn't this racial? Will jump straight to the front, as the FA will have to show they're not sitting on that. They'll probably reconvene for 'exceptional' reasons, but for bog-standard stuff it will probably wait till everyone is back.

All these rumours are just tosh, made up by the same people to generate attention for themselves. People say they've not heard anything, they're obviously not looking very far are they. It's in black and white from MP - the truth to be is that he had an injury to his thigh, and over Christmas he picked up an illness - which other members of the squad had as well. (lovren/Shaw both missed games due to it) The disciplinary panel does not reconvene until 6th Jan as far as I know. It seems as if certain individuals are trying to get on Osvaldo's back, probably so they can justify that hilarious nickname of Oswaldo. That totally cracks me up, that does. Pure comic genius.

The only way a club like Southampton can ''challenge'' at the top end, is if we produce our own stars. We certainly can't go out there and buy ready-made superstars and never will be able to. The Academy route is the best way for us to go, and I'm baffled that it's being criticized. I'm proud that we're doing what we're doing with the academy and english players in the side. They're not exactly a poor standard either, are they. We'd have to spend mega-bucks to get a left back equal to that of Shaw for e.g.
