  1. Seaborne and De Ridder as well.
  2. I think both players have generally flattered to decisive so far, although I would say Lallana has been the better of the 2. Frustratingly, both players seasons have been dictated somewhat by injury which makes it hard for anyone to make a consistent impact on the team. Lallana for me has contributed more than Ramirez this season in terms of overall play - that's not say Ramirez is a bad player, far from it, but I kind of feel that he's playing inside of his ability most weeks. Whether that's down to adapting to the new country and culture, or more to do with the style of play in this league and his struggle to adapt to the physical side. If I'm honest, I feel it's the latter. There is undoubted quality in there, no doubts about that, but he's all too often brushed off the ball, knocked off the ball - or injured during or prior to games. You'd hope that a decent pre-season of strength building would give him a better platform for next year. (same could be said for a couple more of our players to be honest). For 12m though, I did expect a little more by now. He's contributed, but is far too often ''invisible'' in away games and we kind of need a player like him to step up and win us a tight match. I'm not writing him off at all, it would be silly to write someone off with so much talent which was clearly evident in the Newcastle and Villa home games. We just haven't seen enough of it on a consistent basis.
  3. Their season actually finished in December, so we're probably having to put him through some sort of mini-preseason. Although I'd have expected to see a bit more of him so far. £4m is a hell of a lot to shell out on a single player, then not play him, when we're just above the relegation zone. We also could say the same about Mayuka! Now that signing goes deep into the realms of bizarre.
  4. Barry Bannan will come in to replace him, so this makes the ban quite a blow for them! No disrespect to Bannan personally, but he's one of the reasons they're down there. Young players who are championship level at best, trying to make a grade for themselves in a league where they're out of their depth.
  5. Finished 1-0 to City, who were complete dross it has to be said. Villa played well, but didn't create any meaningful chances over the entire 90 mins. Very fortunate with all the results this weekend, if only we'd have picked something up in our game and things would look so much different. As the games go on, and the teams down there are remaining on 20-24 points, you do start to wonder if we'll get an all time low points total required to stay up this year.
  6. They look equally as bad to be honest, just a little sharper in the back 4. Nasri looks complete turd though
  7. Tevez did score, 1-0 to city at the moment
  8. Technically he is pretty sharp though, which may have been why they were struck by him. If I'm honest, the weak area's of his game are something which will get better with experience. I think he's technically pretty sound, will probably develop into more of a left midfielder though.
  9. Villa are playing pretty well in this to be honest. Lots of possession, although a little predictable at times. City haven't really got going if we're honest.
  10. What do you expect on Liverpool FC TV?
  11. No one has gone. Will be a long and winding road to follow through till the end of the season. Wigan, Villa, Reading, QPR and ourselves are the 5 in it. I can't see it stretching above, as Newcastle and Sunderland have enough about them - and the other sides only need 1 or 2 more wins in reality. Our next few games will ensure we're well entrenched in it for a while longer.
  12. Trust me to tune in on 92 mins...!
  13. wow, what an horrific bit of defending.
  14. We were fortunate with the other results yesterday. I think we're also fortunate that Reading and Wigan are absolutely horrific this year. I think this will finally be Wigans year, they can't keep scraping along - and they don't have any special talents in that squad this year. We still have a 7 pt cushion on QPR as well, so we're not in a bad position. I just worry what it will look like after the next 3 games, as I bet QPR now mount a charge and push up. It could well end up being the final position is decided between ourselves, QPR and Villa. The frustration I have though, is that it looks as if we're going to struggle till the end. We looked the same under Adkins, so why the rush to change it now? To justify the change in January, IMO, we needed to pull away from the bottom 3, not still be hovering in the mire. Otherwise the timing of it makes even less sense.
  15. With Liverpool and Chelsea to follow this, it kind of needs to be a win after the result we had yesterday. Anything else would send us deep into the mire by April.
  16. ok.
  17. Bit of an odd thing to pick up on. It's always be the case. He's always done it. Sometimes to the right side as well. Usually very effective if the midfield runners and wide players come in side and join in the box, although if they don't then you get what happened today.
  18. Why have you started the same thread again?
  19. Still got to hope Villa lose as well.
  20. Mayuka is probably one of the most bizarre signings in our history. If you pay £4m for someone, you at least give them a chance. He's obviously awful in training.
  21. And what worries me more is that MP doesn't seem to have an alternative, he just looked lost today. Just devoid of anything on the touchline, nothing ever changed.
  22. Oh, on another note - at least Wigan are already 2-0 down.
  23. And like clockwork, out of the woodwork you come.
  24. Fair point. Even Lambert was a disaster today. I feel the breath of Roger on my neck already...
