Our game up there was our turning point in my opinion. We were pretty ****, but it was the first game of the season where we weren't taken apart time and time and time again and we actually kept the score down! So even though it was painful viewing, I think fans kind of saw it as a slight improvement and a turn in the right direction. After that we were 5 points adrift at the bottom of the league with the worst GD in the league. Our turn around since that match has been staggering beyond belief. Our form on the back of that game was excellent, we went on a 4 match unbeaten run and stopped the goals going in, and we've never really looked back since then.

View from a Liverpool fan: Well OTT this thread has become. Cut Luis a bit of slack for Goodness sake. Forgive him for his heat of the moment reaction. His first really mad moment since he's been at LFC Yep, that was well heat of the moment. Ivanovich almost killed him, so he had to retaliate....sure. Ok. I can think of many more mad moments, diving, being a racist ****, diving, diving, generally being unlikable. Other than that, his time at Liverpool has been pretty uneventful really. I used to Like Liverpool and their fans, but they are gradually becoming the most deluded and unlikable bunch around.

Possible, although I'm starting to believe that the results this weekend make it 1 from 2. Wigan had a decentish chance when 4 or 5 teams above were all within 2 or 3 points of themselves, now they're adrift of all bar Villa. I'll stick my neck out here and say that the table now will be the table come the end of the season, and I'd probably give Wigan 3 or 4 more points max.

The eagerly anticipated battle for who finishes bottom. QPR will prob win, but they're both dross.

If i were Liverpool, i'd cash in on him ASAP. Don't even rate him that much. Decent player, but not this world-class megastar the media make out. Decent player who is a loon, and could make you £30m+ in the transfer market. Go get your money Liverpool.

Think it'll be decided before then.

Wigan for me, 1 year too many in a relegation scrap. They have no ''sparks'' in their team this year. If you think of previous years, they've had a real quality player who has dragged them through some games. I.e Nzogbia when he was in his pomp, or Moses last year. This year they have nothing, just a bog standard team. Play decent enough football, but weak in very important area's. Think this weekend has put 1 nail into their coffin to be honest.

I don't think there's room in the team for Ramirez full stop tbh.

If this was in January or February, you'd have a point. But there are only 4 games left, so no, we will not be back in the ****e this year. We are safe and secure. We will not get relegated this season. It's safe to start planning for next year in the PL. Personally, I think the return of Cork has created a real blossoming midfield partnership. Morgan and Cork just ''work'', and they play each other like they're seasoned pro's. I wouldn't split them up next year, in fact I'd say those 2 are pivotal to anything we do next year.

No, we don't. We could lose every game and still stay up.

Good point, but painful viewing. Dross tbh. Looks like Wigan are gone now though.

So, they basically haven't been punished what so ever. They might as well have not even bothered deducting the points, what difference does it make?

Why persist with likes of Fox when we could blood youngsters?

Reeves isn't even a LB anymore. To be honest, he won't make it with us. He's coming on to 22 now and he's still wandering around in L2. Will be a decent lower league player, but that's it. Not really a prospect for us to get excited about anymore. -
What is it with Welbeck? He's a decent enough player, but what on earth ahs he done in the last 12 months to warrant a nomination? Oh, he's scored 3 goals. That must be it. I like Benteke, so think that's a good call and also Lukaku has had a decent season once he was given a run in the team. Carrick has been excellent as well for what it's worth, he's put in a midfield masterclass for Utd this year and his nomination is deserved in my opinion. But based on stats, surely Morgan should be in there? He's rated, statistically, as one of the best DM's in the world. Yet he's overlooked for the likes of Wiltshire and Welbeck. Wiltshire is a good player, but he's another example of someone who is hyped up beyond their actual level of ability, just because he's english and slightly better than the other dross we turn out.

He'll be gone in the summer. Bought in to do a job for us, like Jaidi, Barnard, Harding, Richardson etc - they did that job and they were succesfull at the level we bought them for. So you've got to thank them for that, but now look forward to improving and upgrading on these guys.

Bit harsh on Kelvin to be fair, can't forget the contribution he's made to our rise. But this is very good news indeed. Very good goal keeper and a safe pair of hands.
-
I can't include Ramirez in our best line-up at the moment, because he simply isn't one of our better options at present, Davis offers much more in terms of 90mins. Would rather have Jay and Lallana on the flanks, and Davis just behind Lambert. In terms of ''names'' it probably is our best line-up, but it shouldn't be decided on that.

Very good results tonight, happy with those. Keeps us nice and clear of the bottom 3, and keeps us in touch with all above us.
-
God, I remember that very well. Every week we got a massive result, only to then check the scores to see Huddersfield had done the same! Was exciting, if nerve racking! The win against Plymouth on bank holiday Monday was great, I'll never forget that day. Loved every single minute of it. I wasn't to know that was just the start though.

Pekhart isn't actually too bad these days, and I think he always had the potential. He looked quite effective during his debut (A draw at home to Ipswich IIRC) - but he faded after that, as well as most of our team, but I don't think he was ever a poor quality player, which has been proven by his recent returns both domestically and internationally. Ok, he wasn't a world beater, but could have done a better job for us had the surroundings been better.

A guaranteed 3 points?
-
I don't think they'll be saying that after they lose to Acrington Stanley and Kidderminster.
-
Makin was decent cover, to a point. But when we had to start playing him as a regular starter, at Centre Back, things started getting ugly. Southampton 1 - 4 Palace rings a bell.
