  1. Just can't see many goals in that Saints line up and a midfield that will get overrun. Villa 2-0 my prediction, Courtinho to get one of them
  2. Harsh on kwp. Hopefully Southgate gets the sack soon.
  3. Ibrox, good display, Rangers look out of their depth without Joe Aribo though. Surely no one expected any different from Celtic. I've been to a couple of their games and heard the songs they had about the Queen.
  4. Didn't their manager get sacked after that win as well? I'm not convinced Gerrard is as close to getting the push even if we do with to be honest. Last year's terrible display at Villa Park was also following an event of historical significance, didn't we have a minutes silence for Ukraine with a free blue and yellow scarf in the away end, not sure if the club will hand out free merch for this one but no doubt a minutes silence again.
  5. I've not watched much of Villa this season but did see them battle to a 1-1 draw against Man City and thought they looked quite good at times.
  6. Crazy thing for Villa is I think they just leave the upper tier empty and don't even sell it to their own fans so the whole thing is fairly pointless. Just give us all of it and see how many we can sell. Man City will sell the upper tier "away bit" but I'm sure this will make general sale easy enough to buy in the home end for anyone who wants to do that.
  7. What odds Ings to get a goal anytime?
  8. To be honest I'm surprised Man City sold out that quickly, we don't often take that many there in fact I think the 1500 didnt even sell out last season. Bournemouth away on sale this week to those who have 14 aways so another tough one to get a ticket for, after that Palace away , 3pm Saturday surely we'll take full allocation for that one.
  9. I agree, the frustrating defeats to Man Utd and Wolves will continue to happen in games where we don't take our chances. Courtinho to score and be man of the match as he always seems to be against us. Our game will probably get quite a bit of focus being first Premier league game since the Queen passed.
  10. Would have been an interesting one if games had gone ahead, Liverpool fans loudly booed the national anthem at Cup finals, I reckon they'd sing you'll never walk alone rather than have a minutes silence for the Queen.
  11. "As a mark of respect this weekends games will be postponed " No other sport has needed to do that, it's nonsense in my opinion and that of all other fans I've spoken to. You don't need to postpone to show respect, perhaps they're worried Liverpool and Celtic would sing through the minutes silence.
  12. They must be realising that now that every other sport has come out and said they will play as normal tomorrow, rugby, cricket , golf etc , theatres open as normal, in fact has anything other than football stopped? Shouldnt be surprised when it's the FA virtue signalling PR people making the decisions , if other sports had confirmed earlier they would play then I think football would have as well .
  13. Football supporters federation making exactly that point
  14. This is all they needed to say
  15. I believe locally the Romsey show is still on tomorrow, two sold out performances at The Mayflower theatre for The Lion King, New Forest marathon goes ahead, its making the football look a bit silly really.
  16. Cricket and Rugby have confirmed they are playing as normal this weekend, football has overreacted probably wondering is it too late to change our minds
  17. PR team bottled it, too scared of the brand being damaged as being disrespectful
  18. Weird coincidence this fixture was called off last season when they had some injuries and played the covid card
  19. RIP
  20. I say this as someone who likes The Queen , I don't think it would be disrespectful at all to continue, I think most clubs would actually do moving tributes (except for Celtic) , and staff / fans can pay their respects at the game.
  21. Not sure about calling off sporting events, better to let them go ahead and use them as a chance for fans to show their respects with a minutes silence. There's cricket on as well, can't really rearrange that
  22. What was the news?
  23. Not sure it's quite as simple as that, sure FFP but they've made big losses as a club, plus the owners core business of duty free shops in far east have taken a battering last couple of years. Fair play to them if they're investing in long term infrastructure though. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-11178489/Leicester-City-reveal-estimated-annual-losses-119-5MILLION-highest-Premier-League.html
  24. It's family fun day on Saturday, junior members with £1 tickets so probably more youngsters there than usual, got to win now Ralph, don't want to let the nippers down https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/21120196.southampton-fc-hosting-family-fun-day-ahead-brentford-game/?ref=rss&utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
