Problem is Scotland play their 3rd game in a week tomorrow away to Ukraine (in Poland) if Armstrong plays in that I can't see Ralph picking him. Last train out of Southampton Central about the same time the final whistle will blow, very frustrating for a few that I know as this is our last Saturday home game before Christmas would have been nice to have a few beers. Loads of tickets left still as well. Everton will be defensive and hard to break down, we struggle against such teams. Saints 0 v 1 Everton

Southgate is your answer. Clueless hopefully he gets loudly booed tonight
-
Good result for Sholing, can see them winning the league this season, I didn't go to a game yesterday but will try to do a couple of non league during the World Cup break
-
Scotland are having to squeeze 3 games into a week so quite pleased he didn't play another whole game. They play Ukraine away this week now will be another tough physical encounter
-
Idea of Nations League was to replace friendlies with more competitive games against teams of a similar standard , group B tables will change a lot as one promoted and one relegated in each one but get the idea . Watching England last night was like the Villa v Saints game again, zero entertainment. Good to see Saints legend Gabbiadini still going strong. https://www.uefa.com/uefanationsleague/standings/

Leicester away was on a strike day, made it impossible to do by train as well.
-
Ridiculous isn't it, the unions seem to be targeting Saturdays for some reason. Everton home and Man City away pretty much impossible to get to by train.

That's right, motions need to be voted through by 14 of the 20 clubs to pass. Can see more Americanisation of the English game and don't think it will be a good thing, this comes at a time when govt were looking at football reform, the Qataris and Saudis don't seem to be in it for profit so they might vote against changes. Can still see one game a year played in Vegas and B teams playing in league one disrupting the pyramid happening
-
Angers team featuring Yan Valery as well. Nice had Lemina in midfield.
-
Interesting debate on American ownership in the Premier league, they definitely seem to be taking over with Chinese ownership on the way out, could be dangerous if the Americans want to make changes to the game like that idiot in charge of Chelsea, super league, no relegation etc
-
If you look at Everton man for man you'd have to say they have a stronger first XI than us? They definitely look like they'll be hard to beat this season , got a very steady back 4 and centre mid.
-
Yeah look really well organised and focused, fair play to Arteta he's got them going , their fans getting carried away now, miss the old wenger out rants on arsenal fan tv
-
Not sure if it was "we never lost when he played " more of "we've only won when he has played", I think that's still the case going back to 2019.

Bazunu is an inexperienced keeper who has played for Rochdale and lowly league one Portsmouth, we shouldn't expect him to be a Premier league standard keeper straight away unfortunately
-
I don't understand this
-
Agree I'm not buying it, some promising youngsters but no goal scorer and less physical presence in midfield and upfront , not convinced keeper is upgrade yet was just used to league one before joining us
-
Aston Villas first clean sheet for 13 games
-
Midfield look completely lost and unorganised, need to fix that, win very few 50/50s and offer so little going forward
-
Going down
-
So so easy to defend against this Saints team
-
What minute will we have first shot on target?
-
Frustrating thing is Steven Gerrard's Aston Villa have looked like they'd be vulnerable against a decent forward line
-
Zero shots on target , still look like a relegation side to me
-
We don't have any ball winners in midfield to break up play, they'll win the 50/50s.
