They are quite kind fixtures for City though, Copenhagen home this Wednesday and Copenhagen away Tuesday after our game, not really fixtures they'd rest players for. Saints on the other hand will have one eye on Pompey away in the Hampshire Senior Cup on Tuesday 11th, big derby and clearly our best chance of silverware this season
-
We've sold out 1500 but luckily for some the train strike will stop them getting there
-
Yeah bit of a gamble, it's only a 1 year loan so could have done with him not needing such a long time to get up to speed
-
Having had some good moments and bonded over his jazz hand post match celebrations it would be a shame if Ralph's era ends with a Ralph Out campaign with the whole crowd turning on him, better to go now.
-
Makes you wonder what we were hoping for when we signed him? Sounds like he didn't have a great year last season either
-
Nigel Adkins back on the bus to lead them
-
I noticed we were bottom of the u18 league, guess that makes sense if we're playing 14 year olds, blimey.
-
I've sat right behind the goal for a couple of games and you can't hear him shouting at his defenders at all, that probably comes with experience but still noticeable lack of communication
-
Time will tell but he'd only played for shite clubs in poor leagues before joining us so don't know why there was hype.
-
Someone pointed out in the early pages of this thread that AMN only played 8 games last season, probably limited involvement pre season, basically completely devoid of match practice, needs a couple of games in the B team from the sound of it.
-
I do also think there was too much hype over the transfer window signing nippers that had no mens football experience, Everton strengthened without obsessing about sell on value and you can see they knew what they were doing.
-
Thanks for the effort Ralph but that's time up .
-
Interesting I didn't realise AMN only played 8 games for Roma all season and none of those in centre mid, maybe he's not the answer then, I'd assumed he was brought in to help fill the hole left by Romeu
-
Will be a bit worrying for him if he's still not up to scratch, when did he last play a competitive match? Desperately need more physical presence in midfield so hopefully he can bring that.
-
I expect he'll rest a couple of our better players on the basis they've travelled too far / played lots of minutes during the international break
-
To be fair they looked decent in that game , I haven't checked it but apparently they are unbeaten in 5 games and only conceded 2 goals in that time - seems sufficient to give the Toffees the feelgood factor! That defensive record does sound ominous for our toothless attack.
-
Never know how true these stories are but stuff like this makes you think
-
Injury was only 4 weeks ago, surely to soon, I'm sure he'll be keen to play at Man City the following week though
-
It really is going to be one of the worst world cups ever, zero legacy in a country that has no domestic football league that requires these stadiums. Terrible experience for the match going fan (I know they don't matter anymore) few die hards I know going spent an absolute fortune on flights, accommodation on cruise ships, some flying back to Oman for a few days, going to be difficult for them to just find places to watch other games on tv there as apparently most hotels won't be showing it, whole thing is crazy.

Everton fans seem quite confident https://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/threads/southampton-vs-everton-preview-match-report-motm-poll.116175/
-
Leaving it late if they are going to sell tickets for this , can't see there being much interest just open one stand and make it pay on the day
-
Tickets on sale, should have been £10 and £1 in my opinion https://www.southamptonfc.com/matches/2022-23/efl-cup/saints-vs-sheffield-wednesday-2022-11-09/ticket-info
-
Sums it up really, can't think of anything he's done of note

https://www.southwesternrailway.com/plan-my-journey/industrial-action Says last train 16.59 , might help some with no other option can leave early and jog back to the station
