Seriously, READ the T3 review link I posted earlier if you can't be bothered to take a look at one in the flesh. They should have consulted you first, because instead of an embarrassment, they deem the iPad Mini the best iPad yet. But then what would industry experts who have actually been hands on with all the models know, eh?

You're turning into a JeffLeTaxi clone with those price comparisons. For your next trick, compare an elephant with a banana...

Have you seen the screen in the flesh? Read the T3 review link above? A retina screen will, no doubt be introduced in the next incarnation, but this one will sell like hot cakes because it's currently the best in its class.

Yawn. You can't fault the product, so have moved on to slating where it is manufactured! I hope you will also make similar attacks on any threads that include companies such as Ford's Transit (Turkey), Bank call centres (India) etc., in the interest of trolling consistency.

Oh, re the 'wage-slaves':- "Foxconn is often viewed as a good entry-level job in China. The work is hard, no doubt, but the pay is fair for the region and job seekers often line up by the thousands for a chance to work at Foxconn. Not only is the pay a good deal higher than the required minimum but the company also provides dorms, meals, and recreational facilities for its workers. Silly me: I should've just let JeffLeTaxi throw stupid calculations and comments around, without letting him and others know the facts.

In a world where over 45 BILLION apps will be downloaded this year, and 89% of all downloaded apps are of the free variety, that's a heck of a pricing structure to get locked into. Keep trying.

Yes it is. It's the part where you make the iPad's price of £269 (-any cashback site offers) = £360 that I'm struggling with. Also, the part where you're comparing the 7" / 8gb Tab2 with it!! The nearest equivalent to the £269 7.9" iPad Mini 16gb, is the 7.7" Tab 2 16gb which Carphone Warehouse are selling for £379. Using your type of calculations, you could get 9 iPad Minis for the price of the 'equivalent' Tab 2.

... even though it doesn't cost 3 times as much as the Galaxy Tab 2, like you claim !!

The review of the iPhone 5 in the first link also says that it's the best iPhone to date... yet rates it behind the iPhone 4S - go figure!!!

No. A two week holiday is likely to be the longest he would need his iPad without syncing or transferring files. I think it is a poor show if anyone (not the lad in particular) needs to carry around a device - be it an iPad, Nexus or any other slab or hard drive - with a huge amount of Gb or Tb of movies or tv shows when they're on holiday. A movie or two every day of a holiday? Really? People need to get away from the 'look how big my hard drive is and how many songs/movies I can carry around with me at any time' mentality anyway. Much like people are using Pandora, Spotify etc to access whatever music they like on the go/ in the cloud, so too can they access tv and movies in the same way. Particularly when you're on holiday with the ever increasing likelihood of having wifi access. This year on two foreign breaks, I barely used the locally stored media on my iPad, because I was able to play any song I wanted on Spotify and watch movies/TV through Netflix. If I had wanted to I could've watched some locally stored media, but I certainly wouldn't lug around hard drives or USB devices to attach to devices solely so that I could watch stuff I already owned and had probably already seen before, instead of enjoying my holidays. As a society, we are in danger of raising kids who are lost without Internet, iPhones, Blackberries and instant online communication with their 1,875 online friends. If their Xbox loses online connection then it's the end of the world and they're bored with nothing else to do. Sorry, I do not believe that a kid cannot survive 2wks with 'only' a 16Gb supply of movie, TV and game collection. And, to be envious of a sibling who has a device that can have another load of media Gb plugged into it? The quicker the advances if technology, the more gimme gimme gimme gormless cretins who have lost sight of the difference between 'need' and 'want more than I can possibly use' we become.
-
If a young lad needs more than 16gb of entertainment on a 2wk holiday, then there's something wrong with the holiday, surely?
-
Go for it, I'm sure you'll make do with it.
-
Which would fit on a 16gb device, wouldn't it?
-
How many movies does one little lad need on one journey?!
-
64Gb on my iPad is plenty to put all the music, movies and tv shows I'd want to travel with. That's without Spotify and Netflix.
-
But having to have dangly bits hanging out from your device when you want to access a movie? Seems mad.
-
Surely carrying around and attaching a hard drive to watch a movie defeats one of the main points of a portable media tablet, doesn't it? What size iPad does he use? Why can't he just drag and drop movies (in virtually any format) into a free player like the FlexPlayer app that I use?
-
I didn't ask, tbh; It came up in conversation en route to London in between listening to a different player's sh1t music through my stereo and avoiding traffic chaos everywhere.

"He's back in full training and has been doing some amazing things in training." - the words of a first team player last night. "Hopefully he'll figure at some point on Monday." - my words, just then.

That'll be the 16-Bit, 20+ yr old games then... Great for nostalgia, but not a patch on a multitude of iOS games. Double Fault.
