Agree. Gillett who can't get into Saints first team was playing regularly for Doncaster this season. I'd say the players who played on saturday are more than capable of playing in the CCC. Wotton, Pulis, Molyneux, Lancashire would struggle IMO.

Well maybe you should post it on seperate thread to avoid confusion. My post was in response to someone who said Pardew has a poor record compared to other managers they wished to be Saints manager.

Like i said, speak for yourself. Most fans enjoy the cup and cup runs etc still i guess it gives you an excuse to have dig at Pardew by stating his near winning the cup means nothing regarding his managerial ability.

Speak for yourself. You have made it clear in hundreds of posts(you like an arguement ) you are not interested in the FA Cup previously. So any manager that has success in the cup competitions is not relevent to a clubs success or the managers ability?

Boothroyd has managed in the Premier League. I'd say the FA Cup means alot to people, especially to Saints fans.

Pardew got Reading promoted out of this league and West Ham promoted to the premier league so i'd say his record is pretty good. How many Fa cup finals have those managers got teams to?

Irvine (Sheff Wed in relegation fight), Grayson( struggling with out of form Leeds) Wilson (lots of clubs/lots of relegations) or Boothroyd(cheating, ugly anti-footbal). How long before you would want these managers out?

Any team can play well and beat the top sides in this league. Look at Brighton, near the bottom but beat Charlton away, same with Exeter beating Leeds...etc People were moaning that Saints never beat teams above us. Wins against Norwich and Now Walsall but it seems some are still not happy.

I thought Saints were well beaten on the day with Davis keeping the score down to three. Although my memory might have been blurred due to a few pre match beers in the decent real ale pubs up there.

Saints have a much stronger side than when we were well beaten at their place in August. If i remember right Wotton was in midfield, Thomas/Perry centre halves and Thomson played in the 2nd half. It won't be easy as they are a decent side on their day in this league. Saints to win 3-1.

Agree. Wenger seems to forget it was not that long ago that he had the likes of Keown, Adams, Petit, Viera etc in his team who could dish it out. Shawcross got his first ever red card and have visably upset after the tackle which i think was not a bad challenge just clumsly IMO.

Never really liked Bellend Bellamey much before but his comments that everyone knows what Terry is like off the football pitch were spot on.

6 Music hae been reporting it on the news slots all day. Report in the Times apparrently but nothing confirmed by the BBC. I would be gutted if it happens. There is no other radio station in this country who play new and such a wide range of quality music. XFM play some good stuff but have a limitted play list.

Heard reports today that the BBC are thinking of scrapping 6 Music station. Really hope they don't as it's the only station playing decent music these days and the reason i recently got a personal DAB Radio :-(

Hoylake only had a couple of good pubs when i lived there. More wine bars than pubs. Try the Ship on Market St for decent real ales. Avoid the Green Lodge for food although its fairly cheap to stay there i think.

Would love to see Bridgey score a goal tomorrow after dribbling past Terry in the build up.
