Wow, its not that I am friendless or in need of attention. More that I have never really done that much stuff that I find exciting. Don't get me wrong I have hobbies and interests, but it was my mums birthday yesterday and I had a really great time.

I am trying to come up with a list of cool things to do, too many weekends or weekdays off go by with me sitting here doing fack all. Yesterday I went with my mum and drove around an old runway in a Ferrari 360, was a brilliant day. What other stuff is there to do, or would make an interesting date? So far, I want to try a day of Falconry, I want to fly a plane and want to go on a murder mystery night, what else should I try and do?

Really need some help regarding a customer at my work. Can anyone point out or give me a website that tells me the rainfall on Weds 4th August this year in Shawbury? There is a RAF base there if that helps. A customer is saying that we left a door open on that day and allowed more than 1000 litres of rainwater into his central heating tank. I know, but unless we can prove there was no way that much rain fell in that day we are pretty much taking the blame.

Another vote for Marley and Me, was at the cinema watching that expecting some doggy rom com, how wrong I was. Up - what a brilliant opening montage/first 10 minutes. A film that always makes me emotional at the end, never cry but close would be Lost in Translation.

Thats what it is like at my place, if someone doesn't know the price I can just charge whatever, if however they have phoned another company I am allowed to match whatever they tell me the quote was. Some customers just by saying they have phoned somewhere else first can easily get £20-30 off a £250 order. It really opened my eyes to that extra margin that I have paid on some things just by accepting that the price is the price.

How many of you go into Currys or a shop like that and try to get them to take the price down a bit? I recently started working in an oil depot and when someone calls me I am free to charge them near enough whatever I feel like. This has made me realise that I will ALWAYS call around a couple of people for quotes to get the best price on anything I can, never again will I pay the quoted price for my car/house insurance. But when it comes to going into a shop what can we get away with?

Thanks guys, I know its going to end up being somewhere I wouldn't go if I had planned something, but this morning i thought I was working next week so have very little time to sort anything out.

Just been given next week off work, fancy taking myself and the mrs away for the week. Need to fly from Birmingham or Bristol Saturday or Sunday this weekend. Would like all inclusive less than £500 pp. Any ideas of where is best to go, where not to go, going to be warm next week? All ideas, or help is very much appreciated.

Anyone know if Sir David Attenborough has a twitter? - Slightly unrelated note, Sir Dave is a great great man, I sent him a letter a few weeks ago and 5 days later I had a signed copy of one of his dvds and a very nice reply letter back from him. Kind of related here i suppose. Does anyone know the practicalities of having your own say 10,000 litre fuel tank on your property? You could buy in bulk your petrol in and save as good as 20ppl on forecourt prices.

I have to say that I am on the side of he did a good thing, quick thinking and I would expect any Saints player or indeed just about any quick minded footballer would have done the same. Yes he broke a rule in the game but risk vs reward he gambled and came out on top. Fair play to the lad.

Looking for a new car, took a Toyota MR2 out for a test today, great little car really nice I thought until I saw my own reflection and instantly put myself off. The US maybe added a bit of something to the WC, cant even tell what that is really. As soon as they had to face a half decent side their championship defence was clearly out of its depth. Dempsey and Donovan are good players but everyone else was a bit useless. Think going out in the last 16 is about the USAs level tbh.
