Thanks lads, went better than expected. I was thanked for letting the new boy take a leading role to help bring his confidence up and apparently they think I have been largely responsible for him being to the standard he is now. Not that I agree with any of that but I got an extra small % payrise for the extra workload I have taken on. I too am a Chrome convert. Was always IE before but Chrome is much cleaner, faster and syncs with my android phone and tablet. Though at work I am still on IE6

I have my first ever appraisal at work tomorrow and have a self assessment sheet to fill in. I have never done anything like this before and have no idea what to say. In all honesty I have got by ok in my job and people have always praised my performances but this year a new guy has started and really overtaken me very quickly to make me look almost lazy. Not really sure how this is going to go tomorrow, anyone got any tips? Need to seem like I can improve without giving the impression that I have been half assing it for a while.
