  1. Spot on. A load of overpaid, underworked selfish arseholes. That's the board and manager out of the way, the players are no better either.
  2. Yes, he needs a test to prove he's the best. He needs to show he can work with no dough.
  3. That is pretty damning if true. He wasn't helped by certain players in that game either. Particularly John 'I would walk through walls for my country' Terry, who sat the game out apparently injured, was caught laughing on the bench when we were losing, and miraculously recovered 3 days later to turn out for Chelsea. The apparent general lack of interest in playing for your country coupled with a corrupt FIFA tells me that international football has had its day. Players are more interested in money, managers more interested in money, and FIFA officials more interested in bungs.
  4. I'm no expert, but might I suggest your flux capacitor isn't getting the 1.21 gigawatts that it needs.
  5. He said that increased spending and tax-cuts are two sides of the same coin. No different than his corporate bond scheme then, but far more likely to work. Cut VAT and immediately give all small businesses that are VAT registered a boost.
  6. dune, I wouldn't vote Tory in a million years, but I would love it if they could sort our country out. Unfortunately, they are so obsessed with their ideology they have no chance. Osbourne's corporate bond scheme is an absolute joke. No chance of kickstarting growth.
  7. He is without doubt a very overrated manager. Thanks Steve, for subbing Miller against us and handing the game to us on a plate. Absolutely useless.
  8. I thought I was watching Barcelona in the second half. We were f*cking brilliant.
  9. The fact that two players signed by Allardyce are named in the second paragraph may just give you a clue.
  10. I've thought that for a while. If Milliband D comes in and recruits Purnell and Yvette Cooper to the top table, they will give the Tories a real run for their money. At this present time, Labour look dead in the water. And this from someone who hasn't voted for anyone else in the last 23 years.
  11. Cortese is doing a magnificent job at the club. Lawrie did a magnificent job as manager. Matty did an unbelievable job as a player. Someone bang their heads together and sort this tiff out.
  12. I think we'll do very well if we keep key players free of injury.
  13. If we are happy to pay £4m for him, why didn't we offer that on deadline day?
  14. Personally, I thought Fonte had one of his rare poor games against Leicester, not Seaborne.
  15. I hope I'm wrong, but our failure to land a front man in the window could come back and haunt us. I think we could challenge for a play-off spot but it depends on injuries.
  16. If he doesn't play the new bloke, it would make his loan to us completely pointless.
  17. I'm a gym member, but can't seem to put the necessary work in to not be a fat bastard for more than 3 weeks at a time. I am currently a fat bastard, after 7 weeks of not setting foot in there. I'll start again tomorrow....probably.
  18. Absolute crap. Hope Seaborne makes a full recovery. His poor family will be going through hell at the moment.
  19. But my point is you saying Southampton relies on being near the New Forest. This despite a lot of investment in the city from DP World, ABP, Ikea, Tesco, Carnival..... There isn't much point wasting time and money on bids you know you won't get. Similar to our World Cup bid, which we were never going to win, but spent millions to confirm our fears.

I wish I knew that before I went! Dune, McDonalds don't do tips anyway.
  21. You make an excellent point. The container port turns ships around quicker than the vast majority of European ports, but speed alone is not enough. DP World are constructing a major new container port in London, so there is no doubt that Southampton needs investment in order to compete in the future. A new berth, and more cranes, will hopefully be operational shortly.
  22. No, you said Southampton needs new investors and relies on being near the New Forest. I pointed out a couple of major recent investors in the City, that have nothing to do with the New Forest. Private investment is pretty difficult to come by at the moment, and we can't spunk off of any grants board going like Liverpool do. I'm not too sure about your claim about your father either.
  23. I'm not sure I'd want my anonimity revealed. I would feel like Clarke Kent when Lois sussed out he was Superman. So, sadly, I would decline a pint and continue with my friendless life behind a keyboard.
  24. Of course he would expect to start. I wouldn't expect us to be paying top dollar for a Championship bench warmer. Salary could be a problem, but Everton have strict wage restrictions themselves so we may be able to afford his salary. Ego is down to Adkins to manage.
