  1. Bit unfair on Holmes. He put a number of decent balls in to the near post, but for some reason McGoldrick doesn't make that run.
  2. Perhaps not.
  3. Lots of perhaps in there. Perhaps Lowe is clueless. Perhaps Lowe thinks we need another centre-forward.
  4. He's a winger. We haven't got many, less now Holmes is injured. He needs a run in the side. He would be better on the right than BWP or McGoldrick. He needs JP to be as patient with him as he has with Gillet, McGoldrick and James. If he isn't rated at the club why did they give him a new contract?
  5. This is an appalling decision. Then again, so are most of the boardroom decisions made by Lowe and Wilde. I honestly think that if Rupert Lowe ate babies, some on here would still defend him. Maybe justify his actions by saying the poulation is too high etc etc. Just admit, he's no good.
  6. Quality. I've heard they've got the fonejacker in to raise funds. Hellooooooo.
  7. My grandad was on the motor torpedo boats in the second world war, he served from 1939 to the end of the war. He thinks Lowe is a tw*t and doesn't go to games. What's your point?
  8. Of course not!
  9. Administration would be an unmitigated disaster. Unfortunately it seems to be where we are heading under the leadership of Lowe, who some people think is a good businessman. He has made a sows ear from a silk purse.
  10. Whether there's an alternative or not, just accept that Lowe is no good for our club.
  11. Change the record nick.
  12. True, but to be fair when we do moan about Lowe Nick sticks up for him at every opportunity.
  13. We do have a choice, and it's one that a lot of us have taken, don't go.
  14. I wonder if Rupert may be relieved from his duties by the muppets whose proxies he holds. I won't hold my breath, especially where the slimy Askham is concerned.
  15. I think it will be even less if you factor in season ticket holders who can't be bothered.
  16. Wes, we can't be far away from that now, can we?
  17. I really think it's head out of arse time for you Prof.
  18. stevegrant, you are right with much of what you say. But keeping John on the bench and Skacel out of the squad altogether is madness.
  19. Call the big 4's bluff and let them form a breakaway league with the 'elite'. No doubt the collapse of international football will follow, but f*ck them, the greedy bastards. I don't think the appetite is there to sustain this folly. The days of the big clubs holding everyone else to ransom has to stop. I like Platini and what he says. Clubs are effectively cheating by operating under huge debts. Smaller clubs in this country would benefit from a limit on foreigners in squads, more money would filter down to smaller clubs. Personally, I think the competition was better in the 70's. Teams were more evenly matched, were more home-grown and promoted teams had more of a fighting chance of staying up.
  20. Phil, it's like the chicken and egg. As you rightly say, the boardroom have been horrendously incompetent for a number of years. People have had enough. Personally, I feel that an increase in attendances will just give the board even more opportunity to f*ck up. Then again, Lowe and Wilde are going nowhere. People will stay away. Like you say, the club is in terminal decline.
  21. Ask yourself why fans aren't going. Rupert, Wilde and their bullsh*t experiment. People can only put up with so much.
  22. Phil has decided from afar that nimby moaners are to blame for our club's demise. I just thought it was a bit rich coming to that conclusion based on a handful of messageboard posters, and not being here to actually gauge local feeling. I don't have a cuddly profile of a CEO, but one aspect of leadership is to get others to follow. Rupert is clearly incapable of this. It's why attendances are so low. You sound like you were born to be a CEO.
  23. Come on then stevegrant, what's wrong with that for starters.
  24. I'm not knocking the nippers. They are giving it their all, but they just aren't good enough for this league, and collectively won't be for at least a couple of years. Precious time we just haven't got.
