Just seen South Today. How that crap down the road can find new owners at will (Mandaric, Gaydamak, this new bloke) and we can't suggests something is very wrong.
-
Like it.

Rupert the Bear.
-
Weston, you have to ask the question - How much time is needed? Personally, I am starting to think we are being strung along.
-
That said, if new owners can finance the team then I would like to see us keep Staplewood. Otherwise, our priorities need to be looked at.
-
Decent kids aren't going to come here now. We are in the third division. Having a posh training centre when we can't afford to keep players is a false economy.
-
Does anyone else suspect that Fry is just tossing it off and playing everyone for idiots? Or is it just me.
-
I reckon it's a load of rubbish. I've heard Al Fahim is an arab photocopier salesman.
-
Absolutely. I reckon if it's going to happen it will be today, tomorrow or not at all.
-
Why? Decent coaches are more necessary than 'state of the art' facilities. Watch Man Utd and Chelsea train and you will still see cones on the training pitch.
-
It is a training pitch, that's all. If we can sell it for a decent price then sell it. In the old days we trained at Wellington Sports Ground and there was a gym inside the Dell. It didn't stop us getting to second in the league and producing youngsters like Moran, D Wallace, Rod Wallace, Le Tissier, Shearer, Benali and Granger. If it's p*ssing down with rain they can use the all weather pitch at Trojans. All this 'state of the art' training facilities is OK if you can afford it, but it isn't absolutely necessary.

Has he got glasses and a bald head? Has he got a moustache? Why don't we just wait instead of speculating whether it's Anderson, Magnier, McManus or Rupert. Has he got ruddy cheeks and a smug bastard grin?

Cinema tycoon Anderson has Saints in his sights

So the game of Guess Who continues? Has he got ginger hair and a beard? -
http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/4397981.Surprise_new_bidder_for_Saints/ Unforunately, given the Echo's track record, they probably just lifted the story from this thread.

To be fair, this rumour is a bit more believable than the one about Marc Jackson buying us.....
-
Old rumour.

Marc Jackson consortium has moved to due diligence.
Wade Garrett replied to derry's topic in The Saints
Very true. There are one or two who are being drip fed info from sources close to bids as well. Whether they are being fed fact or bulsh*t is another matter. I would suggest that anything coming from Jackson is bullsh*t. You would think that people would have learnt that by now. -

How can they derail other bidding parties. The Jackson consortium either have the money for the deal or they don't. How can Salz influence that. He can't, unless he has a better deal in the offing (ie. one that will be accepted and actually carried through). -

Personally, I think somebody who has steered the most complex mergers and takeovers in the City to completion, is a bit more likely to take us over than someone who sells ink toner and failed to see through the purchase of AFC Bournemouth. I would take everything that Jackson and Greene say with a very large pinch of salt. -

You think this of Salz, yet you seem to be behind Jackson. Bizarre (IMHO of course). -
So that gives everyone carte blanche then does it?

Read my post again. I am not blaming all foreigners, or even just the ones who sponge off of us. I also blaming our own who have a culture of welfare dependency (ones who choose not to work, not ones who are not able to work). I repeat, I am not a racist. I think my views are reasonable. However, it is people like you, calling 'racist' at every turn, who are stopping the issue from being sorted out. You tell me why I am a racist.
-
I wonder about this 'racist' debate. For the record I am a lifelong Labour supporter, I have worked hard and paid taxes all of my working life. I am sickened that a large proportion of my taxes seem to pay for foreigners who come to this country, seemingly, to sponge off the state without giving anything back. I accept that a great many foreign people come to this country, work hard and enrich our society. But the fact is, also, that many don't. I get equally angry about British layabouts and the culture of welfare dependancy. I am a little concerned that our national identity is being eroded. A great many people who come to our island have little feeling for our nation (unlike immigrants who settle in the USA and are required to pledge allegiance to the flag). I am concerned that schools are stretched to the limit by catering for non-english speaking children. Our hospitals are being stretched by people who don't contribute anything towards it (there are a great many brits who fall into this category as well as foreigners). Does this make me racist, not a chance. I judge people by their actions and the lives they choose to lead, not the colour of their skin. Would I ever vote BNP, not a chance. My Grandad spent six years of his lives fighting for our nation against people like them. I'm not about to forget that. My point is that these issues have to be resolved, without the 'racist' card being waved. We are a small nation with a finite level of resources. We are being stretched to the limit, something needs to be done. But not by the BNP, they would make a delicate and complex issue even worse.

I think Jackson has been telling a lot of people the deal has been done. I think he is a billy bullsh*tter. -
You'd be wrong. They like to play a bit of football down there.
