  1. A chance for SR to make an impression and show they mean business. But no, we've gone from Ralphampton to Semmenshampton .. await the marketing strapline ... We are Semmenhampton , the league position doesn't matter, we have no ambition and are proud to be shit in everything we do...
  2. Have to wonder why Villa, Wolves, Brighton, weren't beating a path to his door.
  3. Think sacking Adkins for some unknown bloke who didn't speak English was pretty heated to be honest.
  4. Hardly. Potter had been successful in European football and had been talked about as an up and coming manager for a couple of seasons.
  5. Should be going alal out for it, and progress in the cup. Agree opportunity for some of ours to remind themselves where the goal is. Probably shot of confidence, and Wednesday will fancy it (expect Alvechurch would fancy playing our lot at the moment though). Anyway, who cares ? Results don't matter according to the CEO.
  6. SR are showing a degree of ineptitude that we thought had left the building with Gao, Les and Ross. We had high hopes with Ankersen's involvement but I'm wondering if he was the show pony who just did the talking whilst others did the work and ran the business at Brentford.
  7. A sub-Dell sized mentality I think.
  8. Has as much experience of managing a Premier League team.
  9. They can probably have him in back in 12 months.
  10. Except we haven't got a 'big man'.
  11. Perhaps he didn't feel they were ready or up to it. Whose judgement would you rely on his, or Semmens ?
  12. Some good options, which might have been able to attract in the summer or if we were mid-table. But would any of them take it on now and risk jeopardising their reputations and career ? Especially if they're with a decent club already.
  13. We do have ambition, it's just that the league position isn't considered important by the board.
  14. Don't think they are 'popular opinion', just names mentioned here and elsewhere. None without any substance though. I wonder if Dyche could be a 'Fireman Sam' to the end of the season.
  15. There can only be one winner though, that's those paying for the thing. Agreed, need less Ted Talks and for Ankersen & co to stamp their authority and show leadership and their vision. His reputation was built at Brentford but they seem to have got their structure and personnel right, this needs to be done here as it seems the leadership and direction is lacking.
  16. Bloke on 5live phone him mentioned him. Didn't think there was a manager (Redknapp, or Rooney aside) that would rival Dyche as an uninspiring choice but think Jones is a candidate.
  17. Agree with your comments about Ralph,. It's no good having a list though, (that was always a Les soundbite) we need someone who is prepared to take the daunting task on, and the last couple of weeks have probably made it a less attractive proposition.
  18. Have to wonder what the working relationship between SR and Semmens really is. Think SR should flex their muscle and influence as its clearly going down the pan left to the old guard. And Martin, take Toby and the cunts in charge of ticketing and stewarding with you.
  19. Don't think there is anything new in that article is there ? Just the widely speculated rumour doing the rounds on the inevitability of Ralph getting the push,, although slightly concerning that they seem to be dithering about making the decision.
  20. Think it's all summed up in the above.
  21. But they did, and they do constantly. Ely is a waste of space, Adams in front of goal (sometimes standing on the goal line) isn't much better. We can't constantly post ' but on another day ...' and sidestep the fact that the squad assembled is not good enough
  22. That was a dreadful day out. When I heard Walcott was in the starting line up I knew the two hour hike to get down to the match was a mistake. Seeing the 12 year old Spanish kid playing didn't help the feeling. For all the critiscism of the manager... Elyonouusi , again, what a waste of space, and Adams ..... Christ on a bike, not bringing a striker in was critical, everyone knew it apart from our recruitment team. How many tackles were missed for their first two goals, AMN looked all over the place. Is there anything positive about the club at the moment, from ownership, board (Semmens), manager, players ... ? And then the stewarding allowing home fans to be attacked in home sections.
  23. Wonder what Toby Steele has to say about this, ("wouldn't happen at Goztpe mate... it's the fans fault").
  24. Yes, have often though this. Also, a great shame that Kevin Keegan only managed about 20 minutes as a sub in a WC final series despite twice being European Footballer of the Year.
  25. Zaire's freekick. It was v Brazil not Scotland. (They were in Scotland's group though).
