The first hint was the conflicting comments made by AP and NC over (what was perceived as their) priorities around the time of the JPT 2nd leg semi-final.

My interpretation of the majority of comments left on this board were stating much the same though. This episode could have been culled ages ago with a short comment on the OS after Martin Samuels first piece appeared,or last week after it reappeared.

As I understand it he is overseeing scouting/recruitment for the academy.

I noticed he was on the bench for the play off first leg,and omitted for the second leg. Difficulty being how to accomodate him,Hammond and Schneiderlin..or just permetate two from three.

Martin Samuel is the one who should be the target of NC's critiscism rather than Lawrie and MLT.

A welcome read,although a little overdue. I feel the pop at former Saints was unnecessary.MLT,Lawrie et al were only stating what the majority of fans were saying/thinking,and unless I have missed it were not critical of NC. It's a bit hypocritical of some on here also to condemn Lawrie etc for expressing opinions that mirror the majority on this board on such an important issue.Despite not wanting to respond to idle gossip,which I understand,this could have been nipped in the bud over a week ago. Overall its encouraging,onwards and upwards!!
