  13. I too must be entering into the early stage of "codgerhood" as yes, definitely remember the Albion Band.Infact on the "song" thread" I suggested they would be better suited to performing for us than having to listen to One Vision crap before the Wembley game. I also remember some pretty embarrassing prematch entertainment though at The Dell, especially in the late 70's/early 80's which was geared towards the Family Centre. For example 20 blokes dressed as Kermit the Frogs playing a pipe band. Bingo ? Perhaps the club could sell tartan blankets - in SFC colours, complete with crest - to put over the knees. He was an embarrassment.

  18. Plenty of helicopters currently overhead taking some of the punters in. If that helps.
  19. Johnston - previously touted by several as a good candidate for Saints - left yesterday (Thursday). Many want Curbishley ,and seem to think he's a possibility.Southgate also mentioned. Out of interest, not to mention amusement, for us George Burley is said to have expressed an interest.
  20. fire
  21. That will no doubt be eclipsed by a red and white blizzard, even f we take one each. In 2003 I took someyellow and blue balloons, and was passing a few down to a couple of friends to the left of me.Suddenly thought, christ how many does he want, then realised they were being handed on all along the row...
  22. Excellent news. The prospect of listening to Freddie Aids singing prior to the game was too much to contemplate. Now lets bombard the club with requests for The Skids version.

  24. He seemed to be a bit of a "forum darling" when he played for us as I remember, and as someone said further up the thread he did give it his all in trying to keep us up. In reality I suspect most Saints fans now just have an inbuilt hatred of anything "Redknapp". Despite his time with us,I still regard him as a smug tosser who will probably be best remembered as an injury prone underachiever and one of the football "spice boys" from the mid90's.
