  1. The rats have already abandoned our sinking ship.
  2. I don't think will be up to the standard we require as long as he has a hole in his arse. Makes me want to weep when I think we missed out on Vokes.
  3. It is not the the bloke in charge who is the problem, its the dickhead who appointed him,and the tossers who have made this necessary... Please lets not start a crusade against Poortvliet there is a whole legion of people more culpable in our downfall than him.
  4. I have to think carefully about not only the money, but time involved in travelling to SMS now. Is it really deserving of two hours each way,on top of the best part of c£40 for young Badger and I to attend ? And if young Badger II comes, its more £,and the rubbish served up could put him off football for life;will either of them be prepared to take me there in my dotage if I inflict this on them now ? Chelt Town by the way have appointed Martin Allen in the last week,so where over the next few months are we most likely to get value for money ,and travelling time ?

Agree about Jan's position,he is the front line fall guy in all this but he comes out of it with honour and his reputation intact as far as I'm concerned. I have also previously asked the question over Wotte's role, and am not convinced. This was the man who Rupert remained in contact with after seemingly overlooking him two years ago.He was then instrumental in introducing JP to the club,But rather than a supervisory or DoF role, he is a reserve coach. It simply does not stack up. Look and listen to JP, he sems an honest-to-goodness bloke;Wotte - as someone who may have Rupert's ear - looks like someone I would not wish to buy a second hand car from.

I am more than prepared to give Jan a chance, and frankly am impressed by him in difficult circumstances beyond his control. Lowe on the other hand,I'm not sure I'd entrust him as custodian of our club anymore than I would Michael Jackson or Woody Allen to babysit my kids.
  7. That tournament will become nothing more than an 'Anti-English love in'. The most satisfying part of that tournament for those involved will be that England are not partaking in it,as if we had been excluded rather than having vetoed it.
  8. Or 'Harry Potter and the Champange Socialists' or 'Harry Potter and the Islington set'.
  9. In terms of ability I'm inclined to agree with you that few if any others come close to them if measured over any length of time at Saints. Dean Richards at his prime with us approached their standards.Ruddock might have, had he stayed at Saints and concentrated on his football rather than live up to his own idea of his image. My all time favourite CB's though would be John McGrath and Jim Steele but in truth Mark Wright and Michael Svennson are a cut above. Shame Wright was an arsehole off the pitch though.
  10. I like Newcastle and KK.Although I feel a bit sorry for them having Ashley and a **** like Wise involved,it amazes me that their supporters are blind to the fact KK has been **** poor since returning.
  11. Sad to say, we'll lose 4-0.
  12. A few years ago driving into Bristol in the morning I used to see some bloke walking along holding a book in front of his nose everytime... With all due respect to The Stain, this looked a knobhead thing to do,and the chap concerned must have been an utter spastic.

Surprised no one has mentioned either 'Arthur Two-stroke and the Chart Commandos', or 'The Rhythm Methodists'.
  15. Yes,I'm sure we'd all get up pretty early in the morning if GMTV were to show that;I'd buy it on video.....
  16. I am of the orange coloured 'Wembley Trophy' footballs generation.
  17. Did Jermaine MacWright play at rb ?
  18. Even Svengland managed draws against that team.
  19. Did Burley have to sell three of his best players to another nation in the summer as well ?

  21. Rumour cortesy of Rocket Swannie. Forget it.
  22. Branfoot will soon teach those fancy buggers to track back and tackle...or he'll leave them out. Yes,Branfoot will ' learn 'em'.
