  1. Worrying that THB will miss over a week at Staplewood of Martin coaching him to pass sideways. Perhaps he'll be benched on his return to enable a phased rehabilitation into the squad again and get up to (or down to) speed with it.
  2. Yes. Providing neither get injured.
  3. Perhaps Rishi will get him a ticket and invite him to the final
  4. They lost their Sporting Director/DoF or whatever his title was to LIverpool in the summer.
  5. Talk about re-writing of history...
  6. Can we shoehorn vape, or vaping into that somewhere? (Not that either are justified but thought 'shoehorn' and 'vaping' are good in vogue words* to throw into a post about a current or possibly future manager) *by mongboard rather than OED standards that is.
  7. Or perhaps a club works there way down to him as 7th or 17th option on their list...
  8. Interesting. I certainly don't recall the card system being suspended in the 1980's but they were some of my 'prime' years, and watched most games through a beer induced haze.
  9. And wait for Tall Paul to propel us up the table to safety. Perhaps history will be kinder to Nathan on reflection
  10. I thought it was swearing at the referee. Story at the time was that he called the ref a wanker. Rodney Marsh asked why Best at had been sent off and after the ref explained he responded “well you are”. Ref didn’t have the nerve to send Marsh off as well. Marsh had received relentless abuse from the crowd from the start as he always did at The Dell.
  11. It was red cards waved at Branfoot. I didn't know that about 1970 (then again in my defence I was quite young watching it on Black and White tv. For an 'anorak point' today though, I'm pretty sure cards were first used in England in 1976. George Best getting a red card at The Dell in October on the first day they were in use .
  12. We played in the old Cup Winners Cup (1976/77) whilst in 2nd Division.
  13. Agreed. But this strikes me as part of the problem that SR think they can be identify someone to become the next great thing, but end up with someone less than average.
  14. Perhaps he’s taken the accolade given to Puncheon once, described as taking his game to “a new level of shit”
  15. For the third year running. I was optimistic when Darren Mowbray came onboard as he’d uncovered some decent signings for Aberdeen. Wonder how involved he is in the signings ? Either he isn’t identifying the players, or Bitcon, Dyson and Martin aren’t listening.
  16. Cornet is another ‘run around’ merchant (when he can be bothered) and no end product. He’s like Sulemana except for a purple patch once upon a time at Burnley. Ugo put in some decent performances for Chelsea. But a couple of months with us and Martin has managed to get him (up) to the standard of everyone else.
  17. Certainly wouldn't risk Ramsdale tonight.
  18. Perhaps Ten Hag has a point.
  19. There may not be many in number moving, but I’d expect to see Ramsdale, Dibling and Fernandes eyeing the exit door. Guardian we’ll have plenty no one else wants and we can’t get rid of. Doesn’t seem the basis of assembling an exciting squad.
  20. Mods, can we run a poll please ? “Who agrees with the cunts, and who agrees with the pricks?”
  21. Only if he brings his Uncle ‘Arry as an older head to help him
  22. As TP is the only one out of them who can actually make it onto the pitch at the moment there doesn’t seem to be much of a contest.
  23. Just to massage RM’s ego a bit more, yesterday did seem to throw up a bit of a ‘love in’ for Lego. Not only Pep, but the MOTD luvvies seem generous in their praise of how we played. No mention of a solitary point from nine games though.
  24. Careful, I hear Manji stirring in the background…
  25. Perhaps he realised that very few managers of note are interested. On another thread Master Bates says Zsolt Low has rejected us. That goes with others claiming to know both Potter (no surprise) and Moyes have told us to piss off. This is only from the Saints Forum Intelligentsia, so no idea if true. But perhaps it’s more a case the owners have abandoned the search. Foolish if true.
