Saw him on there, and also Danny Rohl in earlier matches on ITV. Got so say this is good work by their agents getting them out there to raise their profile, almost as an advertisement for their availability when a job arises.

At the price we’re paying, probably worth the risk rather than paying the ‘Big Club Premium’ for the privilege of taking one of their cast offs.

If Arsenal had wanted him, then he’d have been their player by now. He may have been linked with them, and they may have watched him, but for whatever reason they didn’t take the plunge. Can only hope it’s a case that the Arsenals etc want to see how he does in making the step up, and they come back in when he’s in the £40m+ bracket

Lee Peck, that’s a name from the past. If it was made before the move to St Mary’s it certainly wouldn’t involve Markus as he came in about nine years after we moved there from recollection.

Greaves would be my choice for CB as well, although Hull will want a decent fee for him, which we probably aren't prepared to spend.

Where has that come from ? Not seen anything suggesting that before. O’Riley I can understand after he’s had a pretty outstanding season, but an average championship CB is questionable.

Katalinic was a good GK, apart from his goal kicks which were pretty erratic. MOTM at Anfield. Older relatives spoke highly of Maclaren (despite the Wolves appearance before signing). Boulton was part of the Derby side that won the league before joining us on loan. On balance, I don’t think Bazunu matches up ( allowing for changes in the game etc).

Wood seemed a decent option for a team rebuilding in the Championship. Not sure he is one to rebuild with or rely on in the EPL. His performance at SMS last season certainly doesn’t bode well, and I don’t recall reading any great reviews on him or links to other clubs last season. Was hoping for Rodon or Greaves as Championship CB’s, rather than a squad filler.

Good point, but he was a bit more prolific than Liam Delap was last season or so far in his career.
