Irrespective of how he may perform next season in the Championship, it probably wasn’t what we were looking for when we shelled out £15-18m (depending on reports) in the summer. Bearing in mind we bought him for this season, he’s been a failure. Let’s judge him on the job we bought him for rather than where we are next season and his efforts have contributed to.

Cooper wouldn’t be my first choice but what absolute bollocks ! Completely ignoring his achievement there. Forest were bottom of the Championship when he took over in September 2021. And you think they were promoted at the end of that season despite him, rather than because of him. That’s quite a fluke isn’t it ? Or perhaps he was just lucky. But I wouldn’t mind some of that sort of luck coming our way.

Thinking it through, it does seem a bit of a sideways or even step back for her, going from what I read as part of the senior recruitment at Norwich to focus on the 16-19 year age bracket with us.
