Same ‘fuse’ as other stars in their early years, Beckham and Rooney.
-
Seen this on BBC , surely Vestergaard can step up .. Also worth noting for the ‘what became of Matt Piper?’ in the Saints related failed transfer questions in a pub quiz.
-
Depends what our other options lined up are.

Tall Paul struck me as living proof of Brian Clough’s old comment of a player “who couldn’t trap a bag of cement”. BUT on the occasions I’ve seen him he unsettled the Wolves defence a bit, and drew a good save from Fabianski in a match we’d created nothing in. He might offer something as the often hyped ‘Plan B’ or ‘C’ , but that may seem a luxury if taking up a squad place better used by someone else.
-
Surprised there isn’t Prem interest in him. Probably not at the Arsenal or North London Yobbo end of the market, but a Palace, Luton, Burnley or Everton.
-
Agree, and fine in principle, unless the club have a "gentleman's agreement" over releasing JWP , KWP whoever to get back to the EPL, or others (Sulemana) over promises to leave in the event of relegation. Hopefully neither JWP or KWP are likely to go into VVD mode.

I think Piroe offers a bit more and would be a step up on Che to be honest. Ideally I’d like to see them paired up front or RM to have both options (although seems unlikely).
-
Not something for us to worry about for a year though. He’s fine for us this season, unless Burnley are prepared to raise their paltry offer.
-
Even at this level you fear a Baz or Bednarek moment
-
Clearly worth £9m of Burnley’s money. (And the rest).
-
Same might have been said about Jones, but it wasn't considered an admirable quality with him as I recall.
-
Good read and encouraging. On the subject of short corners though, I always thought Alan Ball invented or at least patented them. Fair point about the height of players in the box, added to which the RM possession football might also mean we see a few of them this season.
-
Are they ever ? Unless it's the media fawning over how great and special they are? Perhaps they'll up the bid at about 7.40pm tonight.
-
So not addressing the critical issues over the last couple of seasons re a striker, and GK continues. Think the club should find a new sponsor, a self-harm charity would seem appropriate.
-
See Chelsea have signed the Brighton GK, Sanchez. Surely they must have a GK surplus to requirements that would be an improvement on our collection.
-
Saw Hojberg linked with Atletico Madrid. Any idea if we have a sell on clause ?
-
If we're ever short for a RB...
-
She's probably wondering how she can make a video about this Daramy bloke and link it to Anne Frank.
-
Yes but there were 5,000 outside with banning orders, and another 10,000 lurking around Meadowhall Shopping Centre acting 'big', intimidating women and children.
-
Hard life isn't it. Do you think they're paid well enough for what they have to go through ?
-
Good going if we've got that as a loan fee. Perhaps OM need to steady their media team, although still not as premature or embarrassing as the effort from Miss Pace in Burnley though.
-
No surprise really.

Thought City could buy him next summer for £40m. In which case, providing there isn't a VVD sulk around the corner, might as well keep him to help us get promotion, which outweighs the £now. (Especially if it stops him going to Liverpool).
-
All in all he's been a let down, and glad he's fucked off, delighted we've got some £ for him as well. Didn't settle, and early days surrounded in mystery, bookended by a dubious and suspect absence when we needed players to stand up. Attitude, or fragile mentality we don't know. Final point on Salisu though is reserved for those who brought him to the club. Rumoured alternatives for CB, Axel Disasi went to Monaco (and now joining Chelsea c£35-40m). Botman went to Lille for less than we paid for Salisu. Great scouting and recruitment by whoever.
