  1. Millwall should win all 3 & probably will do, if they’re chasing Ipswich. Different mentality needed if it’s yours to lose. Pressure does strange things to teams, lets see how they handle it if Ipswich lose tomorrow….
  2. Because he was fucking pony. A couple of his performances were up there with the worst I’ve seen in 50 years of watching and his “better” performances were inadequate. One good performance Tuesday and a goal today doesn’t change that fact. He deserved every bit of clog he got, what are people meant to say when he played pony, that he played well?
  3. But of a ropey performance, but managed to get it over the line. A couple of key players, Azaz & Leo slightly off it & Stewart had his poorest game for a while. Swansea played with a lot of freedom and determination, no sign of them being on the beach. Wood handled the big fella well, but in other aspects he struggles & doesnt pass the ball well enough. Scrappy goal to give away, Bree & the keeper maybe should have done better, but the result is all that matters. The turnaround in the players mentality has been remarkable.
  4. ⚽️ GOOOAL FOR WREXHAM! 🔥 Min.32' | Goal by THOMASON!! George Thomason has done it again. His corner kick sails over Gavin Bazunu and slips into the net.
  5. Chicken or egg. Are you trying to suggest a back 4 without Bree, Perez, Stewart or Larin would achieve the same results? Course it wouldn’t have done, the question is whether a back 4 with Baz in nets, a different right back & without 6ft Larin or Stewart, would have done better than we did prior to the switch. Tonda has explained his rationale, he felt he couldn’t play a 4 until he got the right players in, once he did, he successfully switched formations. There is a legitimate debate as to whether he should have done so earlier, but that debate isn’t black and white regardless of results since, as he had different options in important positions.
  6. No, I don’t. I remember people saying we didn’t have the full backs or we needed another centre half because the keeper came for crosses like Warwick Davies. Alfie House actually mentioned this in the week, that Tonda stopped playing an extra centre half when he had the height of Bree, Larin/Stewart to call on when defending set pieces. You may or may not agree with that assessment. But it really wasn’t as simple as “formations don’t matter” , It wasn’t as black and white as that.
  7. That’s exactly what it was. If you would have been relegated without the deduction, it rolled over to the following year. It was to stop teams going into administration the minute they were relegated, therefore starting the next season with a clean slate.
  8. I suspect he didn’t ask, so he could hide behind that if the shit hit the fan(which it has). Utterly bizarre he thinks he’s going to get away with this line of defence. It’s fucking obvious what happened. They knew Petie was dodgy, but thought the benefits of having him in the role outweighed the possibility of this happening. They took a calculated political decision that back fired, when it did, they started lying and covering it up. They may have got away with it had they come clean and admitted it was a mistake (obviously his opponents and people like me would of criticised him) but by trying to blag his way out of it, by chucking aides & senior civil servants under the bus & actually thinking Joe Public would believe he’s wandering about oblivious to security reports and concerns over the US ambassador is utterly baffling. He should have got ahead of this story & laid everything out weeks ago, his behaviour since has demeaned him and made the government look incompetent & corrupt. I can’t believe the party will put up with this much longer.
  9. Real Madrid are so classless when they lose…
  10. There’s nobody more knowledgeable about defence in the Labour Party than him, probably since Denis Healy. Yet, you’re such a biased one eyed clown you’re having a pop…
  11. From my experience, it was a friggin nightmare. I logged on yesterday afternoon on the off chance there couple who didn’t have any aways maybe eligible , because I would have sworn Steve Grant said on the podcast that it included last season (although I may have misheard). I was at work so I also wanted to check it wouldn’t block me because I work for a Dutch company and some of my location stuff sometimes shows Amsterdam, and that everyone was on my F&F list. Not sure I logged out, but shut computer down at end of day. Logged on at exactly 9:31, went into queue and eventually got through. Didn’t log on again, my details just came up. F&F exactly the same as day before, some greyed out. Thought it must of been because I didn’t log out yesterday, so logged out, refreshed page & re joined queue. Got in, same thing happened, so logged onto phone, same thing again. Logged back on computer, about 10:15am now. No F&F greyed out, but wouldn’t self populate my details (I was greyed out). Losing my rag, I started refreshing a few and eventually it cleared and I could go ahead. I suspect I was greyed out because the session on my phone and timed out, so the ticket was still allocated to me and it thought I’d already got one. All I know was it was more complicated than it needed to be, and maybe they should have had a period, maybe 8:30-9:30 where you can’t log on and everything is cleared and re set….
  12. This is what happened to me, had to go back in 3 times before I was able to allocate tickets to everyone . Bloody shambles, lost some decent tickets each time as the options got worse & worse. Stressed me out because I was getting tickets for 7 others and I’m trying to second guess where they wanted ticket. The initial basket was in the section we had agreed, but by the time all the F&F weren’t greyed out, that option had gone. I’ve now got to explain to a couple of the dinosaurs that have a physical ST how to get their tickets. FFS, that’s going to be fun….
  13. He might not of signed without that clause
  14. I joined after 9:30 and it happened to me. Maybe I wasn’t logged out, but I only opened browser at 9:31
  15. Is that the same Selles that did a great job at Reading? He even did a better job at hull than Still did at saints.
  16. Depends how fit she is I suppose.
  17. That’s giving him a free pass. Funny how the recruitment looks so much better now we have a better manager isn’t it? Do you think that’s a coincidence?
  18. It’s defo Ipswich’s for the taking, as apart from us, everyone else is stumbling over the line. On paper they do have a bit of a tough run. Norwich, followed by a midweek trip down the road (which can be tough if you’re not on it), Middlesbrough, Charlton, WBA, then us, they don’t face anyone with nothing to play for until QPR their last game. Whereas we have Swansea, Bristol C & Preston, from the “mid table season over” group, and Blackburn are pretty safe as well. If they lose to Norwich & it’s a bit of a battle, they’ll then face similar at Fratton on Tuesday, who knows. They’re facing the same fixture congestion as us, only what looks like more physical type games. Incredibly unlikely, but lose today and you never know the affect that will have on them…
  19. I wonder if you’ll post about the good signings he made, or just the shit ones…
  20. Lots of good deals around on lease or PCP at the moment as manufacturers are trying to avoid fines for not selling enough (that’s what I was told anyway). Not having to pay for a charger makes it a no brainer imo. Longer journeys, you just have to give it a full charge (80% is normal recommendation) and plan ahead. I’ve found a full charge on a public charger works out about the same PPM as a petrol journey, so the only thing you lose on is the time you take to plan the stops & a bit of stress when it gets below 20%.
  21. Perhaps he’s running the marathon the following day.
  22. I was genuinely surprised, so much so that the snap dragon traded her patrol in for an EV as well. We’re on octopus IOG and it’s 5p a KW overnight (was 7). Switched everything we can to overnight, dishwasher, washing machine to get that rate. The other great thing about Octopus you plug in and it charges whenever energy is cheapest (not just overnight) and you get 5p kWh for the whole house, not just the EV. After a while you can work out when they’ll charge it in the day (it’s sunny, or windy) and you can time it right around your consumption. I plugged it in about 2pm Sunday & set it to be ready at 4am ( the earliest it lets you). Exactly what I hoped would happen, happened, the 5p rate kicked in for the snap dragon cooking Sunday afternoon and re heating the hot tub after some maintenance stuff. In short we’ve basically managed to shift so much stuff to 5p that our energy bills have stayed static & we are not buying petrol. Obviously, the charger cost us 1k, but I spent a lot more a year on fuel than that, and once you’ve saved the 1k , happy days. It probably helps that the kids have all gone, so it’s easier to control the electric use, but the answer to your question is, we’ve basically saved the entire petrol bill of 2 cars, less a one off 1k payment. It’s a couple of quid for about 170 miles of driving, but we save that by running appliances overnight. Octopus are great, despite being lefties, but their service is second to none.
  23. I can see Middlesbrough stalling, can see Millwall stalling, it could even happen that Ipswich suddenly hit a wall. But all 3, not a fucking chance. Don’t want Ipswich anywhere near he play offs. A knock out tournament involving us, Middlesbrough, Hull & Millwall , id take that every day of the friggin week.
  24. That’s exactly what’s happening.
