  1. Somebody did. But Starmer just waffled on about jeopardising a fair trial. Disingenuous and inconsistent (as you’ve pointed out), but this will be “the line to take”. Any other awkward questions will be fibbed off with “wait for the enquiry “. From the date of the trial, through the timing of todays press conference, to the enquiry, British establishment crisis management at its finest.

Now there’s a ceasefire I presume the “peaceful marchers”, who were calling for one, will be doing something else on Saturdays. Meaning jews can feel safe on the streets of London once more.
  3. Great point. Within a few hours they would have known pretty much everything . It’s bizarre to suggest that it would have collapsed the trial in the summer, but not late in ‘24 when they did release the information. The powers that be may think withholding some of this until the situation had calmed down a bit was the right thing to do (and some people may agree), but they should admit that’s what they did. To try and pretend they didn’t, is taking the public for fools and further damaging trust in the authorities.
  4. Fucking hell, stop moaning. To get somebody to take him on loan is a miracle. “Blinked first” what a load of old pony. To get this dud out the door for half a season should be applauded.
  5. Style of football is clearly better imo, but results aren’t yet. After the shit show start to the season, it was always going to be a difficult ask to turn this round and put the basics in place. The club was wedded to Lego ball for far too long and a total reboot won’t be easy. Personally, I hope Ivan stays and gives it a season in the championship and toughens the club up. Soft as shite for too long.

Despite releasing terrorists Isreal looks safer than it was on 8th October 2023. If Hamas’ motivation was a Palestinian state then they’ve failed spectacularly and put that outcome back by a couple of generations. Iran also seem weaker today than they did a year ago. Hopefully The Donald will expand and develop The Abraham Accords and normalise relationships between peaceful Arab states and Isreal, bringing much needed calm to The Middle East.
  8. Downes hasn’t really played that much lately, perhaps Ivan wanted to see him and didn’t release how pony he is. He knows now…
  9. This actually gives me hope he’s staying long term, he’s not an idiot, he knew we were down when he arrived. I’m hoping hes looking at the situation and deciding who he wants and who he doesn’t next season. One thing for sure, the only way he’ll get to manage in the premier league again is to take us back up.
  10. Yep, correct. I played with Dave Jones (not our ex manager, another one), a Welsh international who had to retire in his early 30’s. Fit as a fiddle, could run all day but his knee couldn’t stand up to the demands of professional football anymore .
  11. Baz would have saved them 😂😂😂
  12. It’s not the 1970’s the manager or magic sponge man doesn’t decide whether players are fatigued, there’s sports science, with red zones, data, algorithms around certain indicators, and other specialist pony. The fact Suly & Les haven’t played many minutes will make them different from KWP & MF. At least it gave Ivan another opportunity to see how fucking useless AA is and how over rated Downes is. The difference when they and Archer went off was night & day. Glad for Tall Paul, finally getting that monkey off his back. Bree is incredibly average, but again he did ok and is playing at his maximum. Fair play to Manning as well, made a difference. THB is starting to wind me up, he isn’t as good as he seems to think, and is starting to play to the audience by throwing his arms around. “look how hard I’m trying”. MF decent again, KWP good going forward, not so great defensively. Aribo awful for 80, last 10 he did well.
  13. Archer is fucking soft as shite as well. He needs to man up.
  14. Bollocks. He typifies everything that’s wrong with this club. Too fucking lightweight, too fucking one paced, plays safe every single time, backways sideways, walking footballer. A pound shop JWP, we need to fuck him off.
  15. Was it him, I thought it was MF, but my stream is pretty shite
  16. Looked to me that the bloke ran off the back of MF. Still had a lot to do, but poor to let a simple throw in and pass leads to a goal.
  17. Careful, being critical of Lego regarding Brookes is frowned upon by the Mods.
  18. If he signed for us this summer, he wouldn’t be playing like that, no way. I know you’ve made a bit of a tit of yourself constantly defending our worst ever top flight manager, but the proof is in the pudding (literally) . You don’t get fit constantly having Sunday & Mondays off, or Xmas day come to that. Bournemouth have injuries galore, 6 teenagers on the bench and are giving it a good go. No “players aren’t good enough” excuses from them.
  19. He looks shaper, more positive & fitter than he did playing our walking football, so Lego won’t have had him playing like that. He’d have been another one Martin’s apologists will be labelling “not good enough”.
  20. What a load of old pony. We were competitive against Leicester, we were 2-0 up FFS. We were competitive against Ipswich, we were competitive away to 10 man Newcastle. We were competitive and should have taken the lead home to Utd if Martin done his job and designated a player who had taken a penalty before to take one. All pretty early in the season, and results in those would have built confidence . Martin’s ridiculous defensive set up and decisions cost us in all 4 and now confidence is rock bottom.
  21. From the bloke who could hardly contain himself when Ched Evans headed one in Preston’s net last season. Things are looking up, Premier league goal from a corner. Something lacking under Legoball.
  22. Who the fuck is going to set up like that against us 😂😂. “Southampton this week lads, let’s make sure we’re defending in numbers and get behind the ball, if we aren’t solid defensively we’ll come away with nothing”.
  23. I’ll reserve judgement until he’s not plying for a move or playing against a big club. However, he was pretty impressive last night. He did this amazing thing unheard of during Legoball. He ran at his opponent, quickly. He didn’t fucking turn round and knock it back or sideways. He didn’t play safe or stop his run to wait for the opposing side to get in their defensive shape. He took their full back to the cleaners & back again. His shooting isn’t great, but he made the keeper make saves. Had Baz been in nets for them, he’d have been walking off with the match ball. I thought the bloke was fucking pony, last night he wasn’t. The manager actually asked him to play to his strengths…Unbelievable, why didn’t someone think of that earlier in the season. 😂
  24. If we’d played like that all season, we’d probably still be in the bottom 3, but we wouldn’t be embarrassingly adrift. We’d have hope and will have watched decent football. The difference was the standard of substitutes, theirs made a real difference whereas ours are substandard. Definitely some positives though. I thought Bree, Airbo and obviously Sully had their best games in a saints shirt. Big Les also did well, together with the usual high performers of MF & TB. KWP a mixed bag, played well generally, but thought he could have done better with first 2 goals. Maybe I’m old fashioned, but he should have engaged the winger earlier. I know it’s the modern way to defend, but I’d like to see a challenge put in further up the pitch rather than jockeying until he gets into dangerous areas. First time for a long time I’ve been disappointed with a result, without being angry. First hour we showed real purpose and urgency, two things missing from the previous regime and our Manager posed questions of the other dug out and seemed to catch them by surprise. Fair play to Ivan, after the Brentford shit show he’s clearly worked on stuff and we’re looking better. Time will tell whether it was him or playing against a big club that drove the improvement, but at least there’s now something to work on.
  25. That’s two now, one because of a fraud conviction and now this one. Media now digging around this and according to Michael Crick (that far right loon), this story is getting worse for our “Government of service”. If he’s right, there will be a by-election. Perhaps they could hold it on the same day as the one theyll call after their MP chinned a voter. “The Tulip Siddiq story shows astonishingly poor judgement on Starmer's part - he was alerted to problems with her by C4 News in 2017 & several of his constituents write to him as their MP complain. I'm afraid she will have to quit as an MP as well.”
