  1. It looks like Neymar is set to leave PSG, he’d be a good fit. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. I wouldn’t want any manager that won’t work with a DOF. I just think it’s the way to go. Whether Reed is that man, is debatable, but whether we have one is not imo. We need somebody running the football side above the manager, who runs the first team and the first team only. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. “Quite protectionist”, that’s an understatement. One of the bizarre aspects of the whole EU debate is how the EU has managed to be portrayed as some open, free trading, anti protectionist bloc. It couldn’t be any further from that. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. I’m probably in the minority here, but I wouldn’t want a mass exodus, even though the players have let themselves down for a vast amount of the season. I’d be looking for a couple of tweaks, evolution not revolution. If I could I’d bin Gabbi & Carillo, I’d keep long as he offers a different option, and bring in 2 strikers, one of which will be our number one, no doubts about it. The vast amount of any money needs to be spent on this, and it needs to be quality. Whether Gallagher is up to being the other is down to Hughes, I haven’t seen him play enough to really comment. The centre 3 are plenty good enough, given decent tactical set up and management. Tadic, Redmond I’d keep, so replace Boufal with a wide midfield man. JWP is an ok squad man, but he’s at the crossroads of his career. Whether Reed is good enough for a squad place is again something I can’t really say. Ideally I’d like to keep the full backs, but can’t see it. As frustrating as they are, they are internationals and have experience and ability. A proper manager will get more out of them than Pell did. Pied will obviously go. The centre halves is the interesting one for me. I like Stephens & Bednarek , think they’ve got potential. They’ve played ok under Hughes. Hoedt is the difficult one. He’s shown signs of improvement under Hughes, plays on the left of a 3, maybe worth keeping. Which leaves us with Yoshida. We need a leader in there, in the centre, Yoshida ain’t that. We need somebody to help the youngsters, look at how much better they’ve been with a dominate keeper, add a central defender whose the same and maybe the 3 youngsters can flourish. Stephens/ Bednarek can take the right side. Therefore, if such a player exists, I’d like to see a centre half, that could also play on the left of a 3, but mainly plays centrally. So I’d options would be; Right hand side Stephens/ Bednarek or even Yoshida . Central; Yoshida/ new bloke. Left; Hoedt/ new bloke. That’s 5 centre halves, maybe a bit too heavy, but that’s what I’d do. The keeper situation is simple, keep them both. FF is perfectly acceptable as back up. Basically I’ve added a proper striker, a real deal. A dominate centre half, and a replacement for Boufal. Plus possibly a couple of nippers up front and in midfield, and full back . That’s it. I don’t see the point in throwing the baby out with the bath water. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. He’s a **** poor manger who did the best he could in every game. Some of the players didn’t do the best they could every game, so in my eyes they’re the ****s, not him Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. **** me, you’re a hard task master. 8th & Cup final, underachieving. We’ve had a lot of under achieving managers the past 40 years. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. The EU need to get its head out of the sand otherwise we won’t be the last leaving. If they don’t address freedom of movement they’re ****ed. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. The way he’s played 80% of the season, he doesn’t deserve a song. Well, maybe this one “Go on now, go, walk out the door Just turn around now, Cause you're not welcome anymore” Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  10. I think the players should give the supporters a ****ing guard of honour rather than City, we’re the ones who’ve had to watch this ****e all season. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. This is actually one of those games where you still keep playing as if it’s 0-0 even if you’re 3-0 down. If a top flight team defends every single situation like the whole result depends on it they’ll not get beat by more than 4. The 5,6 and 7’s you see are because sides jack in. The other side of the coin, is why would city bust a gut when they’re 3 up. Make no mistake if City needed to get 7 to win the league, I reckon they could do so. But they don’t. Provided we are serious, the worst that could happen is 3 or 4. If Swansea put 6 or 7 past Stoke, good luck to them. Personally I think we’ll get beat 3-1 and they’ll draw 2-2 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Anyone who judges whether he should stay or go on the basis of one goal is nuts. His overall contribution, bar his first 4 or 5 games, has not been good enough. The general consensus on here is “never again”, that we don’t want to go through that again, yet people are still proposing keeping him. One of our major errors is not getting a regular goal scorer capable of staying fit in. If he played for Huddersfield or Swansea like he has for us this season, and we were rumoured to be in for Him people would be going nuts. Unless he wants to be third choice behind a new striker and Austin then it should be, Thanks for the important goal, good luck and good bye. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. West Ham away in Bally’s first season was the best for me. Matt was sublime that day, their twts ran on the pitch and game was delayed in the added time they equalised but it didn’t matter, we were safe anyway. That spell when Bally first took charge was magical. Some great goals, and performances. Defo my favourite escape. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Not for me. I’d say this was a lucky escape, Swansea have hit the buffers at exactly the right time. We’re extremely lucky to have got out of this, because we’ve been pretty woeful really. Previous escapes were made with one of the worst sides in the league, players playing above themselves, giving it their all, and one genius. This season, we have under achieved terribly Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. I thought the ref was very generous to us with the added time. Bednarek was down for a long time, so I was relieved to see only 6 go up. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. Relax, 9 goal swings don’t happen in this league, it’s more like 10 anyway because of goals scored. Any lingering doubt will be taken away by Chelsea winning tonight. The tiny once in a lifetime chance of a 10 goal swing, is more likely if that’s all they’re aiming for and their only chance of staying up. If they have to beat Stoke to catch Huddersfield, they’ll play normally until it’s too late to chase another 4 or 5 goals. Enjoy the day. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. This. We need evolution not revolution. I’d keep Hughes, get a centre half in to play with Hoedt, Stephens and Bednarek. Yoshida has been a great servant, but he doesn’t cut it as senior man. Those 3 nippers are all worth persevering with, provided a senior pro plays week in week out, Ryan Shawcross maybe, captain material as well. I’d let one full back go. With Targett doing well at Fulham, perhaps it’s Bertrand’s turn. Our central 3 are good enough, I’d also keep Davo around, there’s no harm in a great pro dipping in and out of the side. I’d imagine he’s a model pro, no harm in keeping one of them around the camp. Bin Boufal, replacement needed. Hopefully Redmond & Sims step up. I’d like to keep Tadic, but depends on his state of mind. Maybe the time is right to ditch him. Clearly need a starting centre forward, madness to rely on Charlie & the others just don’t score enough goals. Gabbi looks the most saleable, Long can perform 2 or 3 different functions, so he’s a decent squad option. My outs would be Yoshida Bertrand Boufal Carillo Gabbi Ins Shawcross type centre half. Proven goal scorer, strong Troy Deeney type. Replacement for Boufal, maybe Promes Couple of youngsters with potential, upfront and wing back. Who ever we get in, we need some horrible bar stewards, hence my Shawcross, Deeney comparison. We’re a team of ****ing son in laws. With Hughes growling on the touch line and a couple of ugly nasty buggers, it’ll be a better environment for our nippers to flourish. Bertrand, Yoshida and Cedric don’t cut it in that role. We need a couple of leaders, real men. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. I'm happy with Les . 7th, 6th , 8th, 16th. Cup final, semi final, 2 European campaigns. That'll do for me. Has any other administrator been as successful in our history? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Shout out for jack tonight. Gets a lot of clog on here, but did a really good job stepping in tonight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. We'd have won the league cup if he was in nets Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Let's not get carried away, some of them have been a ****ing disgrace most of the season . Actually, I'll rephrase that, most of them have been a ****ing disgrace all of the season. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. We got Boscombe at a good time as well. In fact our run in has been pretty lucky since West Ham. With Arsenal, Chelsea, Leicester , boscombe & Everton not having much to play for, neither have City in the grand scheme of things. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. I agree. The players will also know in the back of their minds that they’ll have a shot at 100 points next season. There’s no good time to play City, but if I had to pick one it’d be last day, already won league and 90 minutes of competitive football before a World Cup. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  24. Their manager hinting they’re happy with a draw is good news imo, we could see them caught between 2 stools. Rarely a good outcome, unless you’ve got top top players. Certainly will put a lot of pressure on them for Stoke game, dangerous tactic if you ask me. I’d have taken going into the last day with it in our hands, and that’s vital imo. Clearly a win is far far better, but if it’s a point, it’s a point, let’s not throw the baby out with the bath water going down in a blaze of attacking glory. Personally, I’d stick with 3 centre halves & bring Stephens back. Redmond deserves a start, and I’d go long for Austin. The only other option could be Bertrand in the back 3, playing McQueen as the wing back. I’d defo do this if it was Wes out, not Maya, but it’s still an option. I’d bring Carrillo onto the bench for this one, in case we need to go Hail Mary, kitchen sink at the end. With JWP coming on to swing a few set pieces in, Charlie or Gabbi ratting around, he can get his head on stuff ala Burnley, or god forbid he may actually find the net. 25. Charlie Adam has got some front, got sent off early in a crucial game home to Everton that they went on to lose, and also missed a last minute peno to give them a win against Brighton. The rebound of which he was so slow to react to that my mum would have got there quicker. http:// Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
