  1. “Some way behind”. Pony, their record is pretty similar. What is their comparative record of goals per minutes on pitch, my gut feeling is there won’t be much difference at all. Gabbiadini been pretty ineffective all season, yet gets a free pass on here. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. Most of the seasons since my first game (1969) were pretty much like the last couple in terms of my expectations. Even under Lawrie, I never thought we’d get many wins away from home. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. He really is down the pecking order for England. http://www.itv.com/news/anglia/2017-11-10/angus-gunn-norwich-city-goalkeeper-earns-first-england-senior-call-up/ Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. Before his injury there were signs last season that Charlie was adding more to his game than goals. His hold up play was ok and he was getting better at bringing other players into to game . It’s a pity he got injured as he looks like the type that needs games to maintain his sharpness. I got the opinion Claude didn’t really rate him, but lack of options & the woeful finishing of JRod & Long meant he was given a run. I doubt MP rates him much either, as he doesn’t look like his sort of striker. But maybe he’ll have to turn to him as Puel did. I’ve no doubt if he played for someone else & was available for 4/5 million a lot of our supporters would be calling for us to sign him. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. Good job he’s not playing or managing us then Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. And Lawrie and WGS. No other Southampton managers since the First World War though , which is surprising seeing how easy it is. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. Played him because his first and second choice were both injured. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. David pleat recommended Alli to Spurs not Mitchell. They’d been tracking him since he was 15, way before Mitchell went there. https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/how-tottenham-won-the-race-for-dele-alli-after-threeandahalf-years-a3123451.html Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. When has he ever deflected any blame. We keep getting this line trotted out, perhaps you could point me in the direction of an incident, interview or statement that proves he’s done this. Thanks Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. But that doesn’t fit with peoples preconceived prejudices that are set in stone. Tadić & Redmond are Shiite, they played Shiite . End of. They’d decided that before they got to the game, and unless they scored were never going to change their minds. Both had their best games of the season, not much of a bench mark I know, but both did enough to start ahead of JWP next time (as did Boufal). Not that I think any of the 3 are particularly good players at the moment, there’s nobody playing that system we’ve got that’s better. The one player who seems to get a free pass is Gabby who did absolutely **** all. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. He was better than Boufal yesterday Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. We should of had it at the end of the game, as most of the morons ****ed off before then Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. Personally I think England internationals should keep making runs, rather than give up because the ball isn’t passed to them. No wonder we’re easy to defend against. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Don’t talk rubbish man. Redmond had a decent game & Tadic had his best game for a while. Yesterday both played better than JWP is capable of playing. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. Roy Keane or Nigel Pearson to knock the complacency out of our bunch of fairies Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. The biggest shambles this season, even worse than us, is Everton. Woeful side, and people want to bring the manager who presided over that shambles back. No Pelle, no Mane, no Vic , no thanks. He wouldn’t cut it with this side. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. Leaving on 81 minutes just because the opposition score is ****ing shameful. Fair weather part time supporters. Southampton till I die? My arse, Southampton till they're losing more like Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I like it. Cutting through all the bull. Should also apply to “ finished 8th but didn’t deserve it”. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. I must of dreamt Yoshida's shot, the couple of decent saves from their keeper & a great block from a Bertrand effort. Forester had one save to make & didn't make it. I've seen some woeful performances, but that wasn't one of them. We were slightly better than we have been lately, but obviously that's no good if you can't put the ball in the ****ing net . Redmond played ok, but people just want to make stupid judgements that confirm their prejudice. We didn't deserve to lose, but didn't do enough to win. Totally agree with the assessment of our support. ****ing fair weather supporters, probably the worst in the league. Anyone who left before the end should be ****ing ashamed of themselves. ****ing ******s Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. WBA, Watford, Boro Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. Same old same old. Swap the keepers over & we win. Redmond played a lot better, even Tadić was better than of late. Gabby just not physical enough to play in England as a lone striker. Bizarre team selection, are Wes and Yoshida taking it in turns.Steve Davis out motm imo. Both full backs poor, Bertrand uninterested and Cédric strangely off. Need to **** VvD off and invest up front. We’re not as bad as some are making out, just need a decent target man. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. I thought he was ****ing uninterested again today, he needs to **** off Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. No rewriting needed. His record is there for all to see. I doubt Sammy Saint could get us higher than 8th, seeing as even Poch couldn’t manage that. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  24. Once upon time there was a tavern Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  25. That was my first season I went to away games, with the old man. I read a book about Stanks in the summer and the McGrath story was retold. They'd just had some new custody cells built within the ground and evidently Shanks put his arm round McGrath and said " John let me show you your changing room ". Don't know how true the story, like most about him I'd imagine there's an element of truth with plenty of hyperbole . The books a great read, real football man and most of his jibes were tongue in check. I Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
