  1. He also had OR playing out of his skin, which gave us more protection. The problem with the article is that it appears to absolve other players of the blame. Had our full backs preformed as woefully last season as this, we’d have lost more games. Had the midfield given the ball away as much as they’ve done the past 2 games, the same. Sat, the first goal was absolutely key, and lemina gave it away whilst Jack & Wes were up for a corner. Our centre halves are shell shocked, and they have 2 experienced pros beside them that are hiding & going through the motions, instead of helping them. There’s 2 types of coaching, there’s the team structure, coaching of the team, and then there’s one to one coaching, of making players better. Puel appeared to coach players to be better players, OR a prime example, JWP another. Yoshida got better as the season went on, learning from his mistakes. Look at the contrast between Redmond and Stirling, now I’m not comparing them as players or in ability, but look how different Pep has got him playing. He’s learning, he’s opening his body up more, he’s taking up better positions, his finishing is better, he’s improving. Redmond is playing the exact same game, every time he steps on the pitch. His faults aren’t being worked on, tactically he’s no different. It’s damn hard work, so maybe our players don’t want to listen or put it in. Our players do get better, but they get better naturally as they get older and figure things out for themselves. I don’t see any evidence that we iron out their faults through intensive coaching. We seem to be doing the same with our centre halves, it’s sink or swim. A decent coach, together with senior pros could make them better players. Drill them, until it sinks in. Watch videos, talk through mistakes. They keep making the same positional mistakes, the same decision making mistakes, the same awareness errors. They’re either idiots that don’t take it in or not enough time is being spent on their development. I know which one I think it is. I’m not saying they’d be world beaters, but there’s something there. I’d bet my bottom dollar that had Puel stayed they’d be better players than they are now. It’s also absolutely mad to play two youngsters together , it’ll ruin them both. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  3. According to Labours previous rulings it is an anti Semitic group. It called Israel “a steaming pile of sewage, that needs to be properly disposed of”. When Naz Shah said similar she was suspended from the party and subsequently admitted what she said was anti Semitic. They can’t be bending their own definition of what is anti Semitic because Steptoe attended a meeting, surely not. As I said in my original post, he’s trolling. If it’s no big deal, why were the party at pains to point out he was attending “ in a personal capacity”. It was “a very clear two fingered salute at mainstream British Jewry,” according to Gideon Falter, the chairman of the Campaign Against Antisemitism. John Woodcock called it “irresponsible and dangerous”. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. Steptoe is just trolling now. Tonight he’s attended an event with a group that claims any Jews that oppose Jezza are “non Jews” ,and has called for the destruction of Israel. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. On Saturday he was one of the only ones that put a shift in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Lol lol What a load of balls, you’ve backtracked when you realised what a plank you were- end of. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. I don’t expect Tadic to be brave in tackles or headers, I don’t expect him to go flying around the pitch winning 50/50 that’s not his game. I do expect him to be brave on the ball, to be brave in showing for the ball in tight spaces, and be brave in possession, he’s been none of these for months and months. Him and Boufal have enough quality to get us out of this mess, but neither are man enough to do so. Times up, as far as I’m concerned. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. Really? I was born in Southampton but moved away when I was 7. Should I have changed teams then? Seeing as I moved to Taunton, who should I have supported? I moved to Poole over 20 years ago & had 4 boys. When they got to 7 or 8 and started wanting to come to football with their dad, should I have said “**** off you plastic, go to Boscombe on your own and watch your local team”. **** me, what are ultras like you going to make of my grandson, he was born in Poole to a dad who was born in Poole, his only connection to Southampton was his grandad lived there until 1971. 9. I’d change formation for this one. Go with a back 3, Bertrand as left CB ( he did ok for Ronald there), Stephens as right CB & Yoshida as centre. JWP & McQueen as wing backs Central 3 to clog up that area. PEH, OR & Lemina (only because there’s nobody else). Up top I’d go for Sims in the 10, with Long up top. Sit deep, get bodies in defensive positions, hit them on the break. Clearly getting goals will be the issue, so leaving Charlie out looks stupid. But, we won’t get up the pitch to create any thing for him. Long & Sims have the pace to create something out of nothing. We can always bring Charlie on for the last 20 IF we’re still in it.
  10. I think I was pretty easy to lip read at 4:50pm on Sat, but just in case those soft arses in red and white couldn't, I gave them some sign language as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Stoke battled well today. If anyone has given up its our fairies Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. On paper yes, but it was the nature of yesterday's surrender that was worrying. No doubt we'll play better next week because you have to. Play poorly against a top 6 side and you'll get beat 5 or 6, the players self preservation takes over. I think we'd all have taken 3 points from West Ham & Arsenal, so maybe we can salvage something. One thing for sure, to stay up you need to produce a surprise result. Next Sunday ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. At least they’ve now booted the anti Semite off the NEC. Are they going to replace her with somebody in tune with their working class voters, someone not part of the metropolitan elite. Er........... no Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Pen, finally Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. If true, he should be charged & banned. Why anyone would want to show that shower of Shiite support, or want Bertrand’s shirt after his lack of effort, is beyond me. ****ing soft arse supporters. If he tried to give me his shirt I’d have told him to stick it where the sun don’t shine. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. Why do people write nonsense like this. We’ve spent about 10 years of the last 45 outside the top flight. I’ll be amazed if we’re not back up in 5 years. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. Don’t talk rubbish, it’s not even the worst on field or off field management this century. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. There was a very heated argument between a bloke & women in front of me just before half time, it continued at the start of second half until they were told to shut up. The women was basically having a go because the bloke was slagging off the players. Whether this continued at the end I don’t know,, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it did. Lowest of the low if he did smack her, but **** me she was annoying. Players deserved clog, not some silly moo clapping them. Emotions were running quite high, but some **** wits were actually clapping the players at the end. . Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. My nipper turned to me as we were driving home from a game at Swindon in league 1 and said “ why make me support Saints”. He then had 6 or 7 of the greatest seasons and memories that’ll last him a lifetime. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. So despite being the only player that made any effort to actually shoot, despite putting a great shift in and putting the rest to shame, despite being the only one that physically tried to match their players , despite giving the supporters some hope, you’re complaining about him starting? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. We need some real men in the side, we’re a team of ****ing son in laws. Whose going to shake a few up, both opposition players & their own. JWP being the poster boy of the club ****ing sums the whole place up. Although technically limited Yoshida is tough, he must start, as must OR. Long & Austin need to play, they’re about the only two we’ve got that have got an attitude that winds up opposition supporters (apart from Tadic rolling around like a big fairy). Davo, although over the hill, won’t shirk and hide like most did yesterday. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. So despite finishing higher or as high for 3 seasons, despite going further in both cups, despite European qualification twice, players like Mane, VvD, Pelle, Toby, Tadic, didn’t “ measure up”. To have got these cheap replacements to the same position as Poch and a cup final, Claude must be some manager. What Ronald Koeman did with these must have been genius. I know you remoaners like to make up your own facts, but that’s just a ridiculous post. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. Nonsense. Him Long and the keeper were the only 3 to come out with any credit at all. He was head and shoulders above the rest in terms of effort and application Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  24. ****ing disgraceful performance today. Absolutely going through the motions, deserves to miss out on the World Cup. Totally unprofessional Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  25. On the train home now. Still ****ed off . Embarrassing, some players should be ashamed of themselves . Both full backs going through the motions, disgraceful. Centre halves are shot. How Lemina managed to come out second half is beyond me. PEH, better second half, but poor poor first, don't really matter that he played better second half, because he was poor when it mattered . Tadic, was average , too lightweight. Redmond one of the better ones, but still poor . Gabbi, average . The only players that I absolve was the keeper & Charlie Austin. The rest were a ****ing disgrace . I thought Newcastle was bad, but this was worse. We're going down end of. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
