  1. Their training ground is in our neck of the woods and as it's where they spend most of their time you'll find the vast majority live this side of Poopey....
  2. Utaka won't go anywhere. He won't get his current wages or anywhere near them elsewhere.. everyone (apparantly) hates the guy... he'll sit ther euntil his contract runs out and pick up a nice signing on fee as a free...
  3. seems the game is up.....
  4. Sky sports news are now reporting the players havn't been paid for last month yet... uh oh...... so then... how long before another tidbit of info comes out saying they've got yet ANOTHER loan to pay this months wages???
  5. Can someone not create a script so that whenever anyone type sin lowe or rupert it displays something else??
  6. Probably someone who isn't interested in the football side but thinks they can make cash another way....... Here's what's going to happen: Portsmouth will be relegated Portsmouth will then go into Admin and be docked 10 points in the championship The land around the ground , will still be in Gaydamaks name and will be sold for a hansome profit. Portsmouth will be relegated from the championship to league 1 They will frit around with promotion to the championship and life in League one for the forseable future.
  7. so the club goes tits up and wipes out any debt the fella owes (the new owners have guranteed his debt?), but because he no longer owns the club, but still owns the land he gets to keep it.....perhaps recouping the money he's invested?
  8. His wife used to teach me PE at Junior school, nice lady!
  9. re - the big 4... we probably will be... it's just that Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool won't be in the Premiership by that point...... a European Super League WILL happen.....
  10. That's not actually true.. this £1.2m figure is from the FA Cup wining season and included a bonus for winning the FA Cup and finishing 7th... His wage, iirc is nowhere near that without the bonuses...
  11. Let me get this straight.... The sky revenue, that would be used to prop up the club until January, was totally used to pay off (full or in part we don't know) the loan from the South African Bank. This money would have been used to part pay the September Wages. This didn't happen, so they had to take out a £5m loan from this Saudi fella (who in turn seems to have taken out 3 loans secured against future TV income to provide said £5m) That's September sorted. Now we're coming to the end of October we're getting more stories popping up about another £15m loan that's to pay off a suposed £10m tax bill and help to pay the wages.. again (another £5m??? hmmm) So, what's going to happen at the end of November and December?? When a further £5m is going to be required each month... I wonder if they are playing the waiting game, simply seeing how bad things get on the points front, if they don't reach a certain target, will they simply say "**** it, that's it, lets throw the towel in now.." and go into Admin??? I'd guess if this is the plan they have someone lined up willing to buy the club... someone who could get a championship club for perhaps nothing and no debts at all???
  12. fuuuck.. the £5m he used to pay off the stafes wages he had to borrow from THREE institutions... this just gets better and better!
  13. hahahaha!! http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/oct/22/ali-al-faraj-portsmouth Faraj admits he knows nothing about football, is in it for the cash and 'aint a billionaire... there's a suprise!!!
  14. We're pretty much the same size, we may have the odd thoudsand fans more than them, but let's be honest, it's small fry when the big teams are getting 60k fans in..... We can argue amongst ourselves over who is the better club, all we have going for us is we have better facilities. And that's it. All this talk of attendances is pretty stupid as it's not really much of a measure of anything when our setups are currently miles appart.
  15. I notice how the official stament reads "The club will undergo refinancing.." More loans then....
  16. The two chaps who won his "Apprentice" copy tv show still havn't recieved their "UP TO $1 million investment" yet.....
  17. The closer they get to going down the less likely outside investment would become available becomes a reality. Seriously, the ONLY thing they have going for them is their Premiership status as that's where the money is. It's not the fans, not the potential, nothing but that status. In the championship they'd still have one of the smaller stadium's, revenue would still be low. There would be much better purchases for any potential investors out there, getting a squad up from the Championship and keeping it in the Premiership costs mulah. If you don't have the accompanying stadium/training grounds etc to help fund that you really have little to no hope of anyone coming in and buying you as the outlay just isn't worth the risk. The best Pompey can hope for if it all goes pear shaped is that a rich local benefactor can be found who's in it for the love of the team, as that's pretty much going to be the only available option to them.
  18. To be fair, it's actually a really really good portrait... and it's setting the tongues wagging, which all good art should do... not got a problem with it hanging in Southampton personally...
  19. I don't think we were relegated for staying within our means, we were relegated because our crackpot chairman thought he knew better than the rest of the established football world, and spunked a nice wedge of cash that could have been used to buy premiere league players for retarded sports experiments and players he thought could do the job who were blatantly not up to the task.
  20. You can't go wrong with an HP. Dell are utter gash.. had a batch of 60 that cam ein here a couple of years ago, every single one of them died over a period of a year... we used to go through Dell laptop's like ahot knife through butter.. blown inverter boards, fans breaking, causing the motherboards to overheat and fail.... wouldn't touch a Dell with a Bargepole... Whilst Hp are not quite as good as they used to be (we had 1500 Pentium 133's up until a year or so ago still going strong - that's 10 years plus) they are still ehad and shoulders above all the other manufacturers out there.
  21. Of course it is, It's Roger Daltry warming up before a gig...
  22. 2-0 to millwall.. watched them once last year, my mate said they won most of their games in the last 10 mins... they used to have a big defender from liverpool.. whitingham??? was a rock in their defence.. thrown a strop now from what i can gather...
  23. willwall have shifted just over 2 k so far..
  24. A couple will be with me.... went to Millwall vs Orient a couple of months back... sheeeshhhhhhh....
