He's a Forest fan but has lots of connections to Saints so supports us too. Sounds like it was someone else last night.
-
Oh, my mistake. He's the Moroccan Norwegian Emmanuel Mayuka.

Agreed. When she first won the leadership I think it was widely quoted that she was a "bloody difficult woman". Seems pretty accurate.
-
Didn't see that. Big guy with dark hair and a beard?

"good faith" extremely nebulous and parliament can't bind a successor. We could revoke then reissue. I'm not for one minute suggesting we will or should do that, mind. My point is that we have more control over timing than people want to admit. Re ruling out no deal, what would the legislation say? The only way to rule it out is to revoke Art. 50 or do a deal. Legislation that says, "we won't leave without a deal" is inconsistent with the treaty rules around leaving.

He's the Egyptian Norwegian Emmanuel Mayuka.

He plays like he's a fast winger, but he doesn't have pace so he just gets tackled. Compare him to Tadic who knew he couldn't just run past people so always protected the ball and looked to unbalance defenders. He's got some ability on the ball but not productive at all. Our first half formation didn't do him much favours either, as he was playing fairly deep. Overall, a massive disappointment so far.

JWP over Armstrong? Noooo waaay, mon.

Indeed. The only way to rule out no deal is to do a deal or revoke Article 50, which would, I presume, need an act of parliament. Feck knows whether parliament would pass that but it's disingenuous or ignorant to pretend she can just unilaterally "rule out" no deal. Even if parliament indicated a majority against leaving with no deal, without revoking Art 50 we will leave with no deal if we don't do a deal. We can unilaterally extend the time though, for practical purposes. European Court has already confirmed we can unilaterally revoke Art 50 so we could just do that then serve another Art 50 notice. Again, though, would there need to be a parliamentary vote to do that?

On the plus side, Gallagher and Johnson looked decent enough, especially as I don't think j Johnson is usually a wing back. I'd rather have Gallagher up front in a home league match than Long. Stephens can't defend crosses. He just thought he'd remind anyone who might have forgotten. Elyonnousi is gash. Collectively, far too sloppy at important moments, as usual. Hopefully the new right back is good and we can also add another decent player to give us a bit more quality.
-
I agree that was definitely his last appearance. In fact I am starting a thread.
-
No chance. He's absolute quality. If there's any sniff of him leaving we'll get outbid.
-
I'm generally in favour of VAR but the inconsistent and unfair way it is being rolled out is just absurd.
-
Runs out next summer doesn't it, so if he won't sign a new one we would be looking to sell for that reason alone.
-
Does anyone really think Corbyn wants to be PM? He'd be a broken shell within a month, a patsy for his loony mates. I bet he's absolutely ****ting himself.
-
Has Skacel signed?

Agree completely. Likewise, JWP can do a job in centre midfield when the entire team is playing deep in our half but see how he does in a home match against opposition happy to sit back and hit us on the bench when people are running past him or pressing him. We have one decent deep lying midfielder (Romeu) and one dependable striker (Ings). With Yoshida absent we are also one injury / suspension away from having Ramsey at centre back (assuming Hoedt is out). If there is someone available who Ralph thinks will strengthen us and we can get them on reasonable wages and fee, then we should.

They haven't sacked him.

That's an interesting one because Nando's is Portuguese but the peri-peri chilli is an African chilli which was then spread by the Lusophone empire-builders to other parts of the world, including India. Could end up being cheaper if Nando's UK can bring it's peri-peri directly into the UK from India or Africa and we're out of a customs union. I was undecided on Brexit before but it's useful, real-life examples like this that help one make one's mind up.

Jannik Vestergaard - Official: Signs for Leicester
benjii replied to ChiefScummer's topic in The Saints
Whenever Vestergaard plays in a back 4 for us he looks nervous and guff though.
