  1. He's copied the technique to the point he can do a cracking tribute act, for sure. However, Beckham regularly found the back of the onion bag and was a go-to guy under pressure (Simeone incident, notwithstanding). Beckham's ball striking is up there with the best ever. JWP does a top, top, top near miss.
  2. Something about a naked headbutt and Jose Fonte's wife?
  3. Hi Saints Fans! Does anyone travel from the jewel of the south to Reading for work? How good are the trains? I used to commute to London and got sick to death of it but I've got a very nice offer of work in Reading now. Obviously it's a much quicker train journey and my perception is it's probably less prone to **** ups than the London mainline (#mess). Am I right?
  4. What's Lallana up to nowadays anyway?
  5. I've put you down for that. Nice one, mate. I'm working on media strategy.
  6. Still working on it. Maybe some sort of outfit?
  7. Just had a look at the Media Reform Coalition website. Bunch of pinko academics. The sort of ****s who wear berets and have bad dental health. They are clearly biased
  8. That won't happen. They had a naked wrestling match in the locker room yesterday.
  9. Redmond's on fire! Nice key pass to Bednarek from that corner too. #nippywinger
  10. Nineteen Canteen.
  11. Caveat: I didn't watch the game. I don't know what we did tactically. The only reports I've seen were from a woman on Sky Sports who sounded confused and posts on here.
  12. No, no, no. That's a very high-level description. It's much more nuanced and fluid than that. This is big-boy ****. PhD level.
  13. There was only one catch and that was Catch-22, which specified that a concern for one's safety in the face of dangers that were real and immediate was the process of a rational mind. Orr was crazy and could be grounded. All he had to do was ask; and as soon as he did, he would no longer be crazy and would have to fly more missions. Orr would be crazy to fly more missions and sane if he didn't, but if he was sane he had to fly them. If he flew them he was crazy and didn't have to; but if he didn't want to he was sane and had to. Yossarian was moved very deeply by the absolute simplicity of this clause of Catch-22 and let out a respectful whistle.
  14. Has she been prescribed something iffy? Maybe we are trying to show Fritz that she's mental. You can't negotiate with a mentalist.
  15. He was an inverted non-latitudinal trequartista with a floating mandate and semi-rigid DM/WM duties.
  16. Yeah, Gunn looks good to me from the little I've seen.
  17. And now he's got the key pass to vindicate that view!
  18. We won the shootout, scoring 4 out of 5. Pretty churlish to criticise him for that, even if the central tenet is valid.
  19. "Let's Gao ****ing Mental!"
  20. I do a cracking Kim Jong Il.
  21. Nice key pass there.
  22. I don't want him to say that but as that appears to be the reality I question the extent to which I want to prop up a state of affairs which I find depressing, disingenuous (on the part of Kat and her glove puppets) and far removed from the notion of a community football club. You could say that this notion is out of step with the modern game, and to some extent it is, but clubs do manage to engage with their support and cultivate a sense of togetherness. We are cultivating a sense of alienation. I don't see why I should give a dime to someone who is only here to boost their persona on the other side of the world. At least with the likes of Lowe and the local businessmen who bookended his tenure, their motives were not so abstracted from what the club is fundamentally for.
  23. Abso-ruddy-exactly.
