Do they own Boateng? I thought he was on loan.

Did Kelvin miss the World Cup by staying?

His kicking is excellent. Some of the most accurate distribution I have ever seen from a keeper. I can't believe you've said that. -
If we don't start picking Joe Cole we have no chance. We need Barry back, Roo up on his own and Cole. I fear we are stuffed at centre back too. As soon as we come up against a good side we will lose.

I said the USA were gash. I mean as a team. No one in particular. Just their aggregate effectiveness and team ability. They would be a bottom third Prem team. Pretty gash for a country that's playing in its fifth consecutive World Cup. They were dominated throughout the seond half by a poor England side and only got a point due to a massive individual error. Yes, I saw Altidore's bustling run. Pretty swell, huh, making a b!tch of the UKland's fourth choice centre defenceman? What a stand-up kinda guy. I remember it clearly as it was the only time in the match they managed a decent attack. They defended ok. None of the better teams will be the least bit concerned about playing them though. I realise my opinion on the England team was in a different post to my "gash" verdict on the USandA (yeehaa) but if you've seen that post you'll realise that I am of the opinion that England are also pretty gash, just a fair bit less gash.

Thanks +1! I'm sure I remember him being good in '98!

The team was better IMO. I probably should have said "team" rather than "squad". In terms of shape and play as well as make-up. We were let down in '06 by Ericson's over conservatism and Rooney's red card. In '02 and '98 we were bloody unlucky. In any case, Anderton had a good world cup in 98. Keown is better than Carragher or Upson. Sinclair came on against the Argies after someone got injured and played a blinder. Our best option from the becnh didn't come on. Mental.

I cannot believe Capello doesn't start him. He is easily our best current international player, apart from perhaps Ashley Cole. I have will have serious misgivings about Capello if persists with SWP or Milner ahead of Cole. Let's face it folks, we have a much worse squad this year than we did in 98, 02 and 06 and we fecked it up those times. I've said all along that we will go out in the second round.

The US were gash and on another day England would have scored three or four. That said, England are not in the top 8 or so countries either so I don't think they will do very well. Slovenia will be a tough final match.

Arg are v good although for some reason they played a left winger at right back today. The would murder us(as would many) unless Maradonna pulled some sort of weird ****.

MLG He's saying that there is a nice lady in Cumbria that embodies the best, in Dune's opinion presumably, Christian virtues. Because of this, he is asking if it would have been beter if we had sided with the Nazis. I'm not sure I quite follow his flow myself.

Think I may get one tomorrow. Will be the first Saints shirt I've purchased since about 1992!

Brighton and Hove Albion sign goalkeeper Michael Poke

Bart's kicking is awful. Proper rank. KD is easily the better choice given our style of play. -
South Korea are very good, albeit they might be gash at the back. There's no way of knowing because Greece are horse-plop. SK have a CM who is class. No idea who he is but I like the cut of his jib.

Could someone please confirm the material. Thanks.

And Diego Simeone And etc.... All footballers are morally bankrupt cheating ****flaps.

Sashtung Surrender! (your cash)

Whilst we are perfectly entitled to scoff at their threadbare support... on the ST front, I don't blame them at all. I certainly would not buy an ST if Saints were in their position.

That's an impressive list. I understand your sentiments about the young 'uns. I started watching Saints in 89/90 so although I'm hardly a veteran I got to witness nowt but top flight footy, some good cup runs, some amazing great escapes, some brilliant players and, of course, MLT's career. Sure, there was some awful ****e too (Branfoot, Dixon and Speedie, Mark Hughes, Wigley..) but mostly it was great. Since the relegation season, however, with the brief exception of the relative success of the play-off season, I look around at SMS at the young kids and have the utmost sympathy that they have come to Saints at such a ****ty time. Of course, if they stick with it then they may well be about to witness one of the greatest periods of our history... although there is much to be done.

- where did you find that?

Chill, he probably didn't do it anyway.
