In what ways?
-
Agreed. Bertrand makes the run off him so when he cuts back he gives it back to Romeu or Vestergaard and a couple of tentative passes later we're backs to goal and a defender out of position or Vestergaard has tried to thread it through three lines of play and given it away. Just carry it up the line and try to win something.

The Sunday Times - Southampton put up for sale at £250m

Certainly true that we're going nowhere under Goa but he stands to lose if we get relegated. These reported new folks are having a whip round to spaff other people's money. It's no big deal to them what happens. -

I've always thought it odd that he's not a director of the UK companies. Is he banned from being a director in the UK? -

That's complete bull. It's easier to leverage a deal for a private company than a public company. -
Can't argue with that though!

Well, it's levied on households, not individuals. It's literally not a poll tax and doesn't quack like one.

It is bizarre that they've come up with someone even older than him. Trump is mentally and physically impaired due to degenerative age-related conditions and they've kind of taken those issues off the table.

Yes, I’ve posted the exact rule and the reference on here before but I can’t be bothered to look it up again now. But, basically, Gao admitted bribing officials in China but was never convicted because he acted as prosecution witness. Basically, he agreed a deal. The PL rules said that someone convicted of certain crimes couldn’t run or own a club. Bribery is one of the crimes. But he wasn’t convicted, even though he admitted it in evidence he gave. So they changed the rule to ban people who had been convicted or people who had committed an act overseas that would have been a crime if it had been committed in the UK. -
Is that even him?!

Christ, the classic “football consortium”. Grandiose plan. Washed up player as some sort of associate / advisor. No money. -

Kat and Gao could have agreed anything. Wasn't it reported before that she had a put option (i.e. the right to force him to buy her out) and she tried to exercise it but he wasn't good for the cash. I'm sure I remember reading about that. They were in dispute. -
Don't knock it until you've tried it. I take your point, but the ST revenue is relatively small compared to the broadcast revenue and as long as we don't get relegated we're in no danger of going udne

They are hoping most people aren't ignorant cunts looking to game it.

At risk of what, though? Death, sure. But what about permanent lung damage?

You actively want to loan SFC money interest free? There's support and then there's being bummed hard.

Indeed. On the other hand, I swear to make the underwater, moon-base, monkey-chicken petting zoo a reality. Maybe I should set up a go fund me. -

Yeah, it's just fantasy. No skin in the game. I could make a luxury underwater Hotel empire with a moon-base for weekend trips. I just need someone to give me enough money. -
Better than getting relegated and we aren’t competing with Everton any more.

Do you not understand that a response to an epidemic can’t be based on individual decisions? I’m not saying current measures are right or wrong, but your logic is entirely stupid.

Unfortunately, it's looking like a fairly strong league this year so let's hope we can make it to 40 points. Mid 30s might not be enough. All the promoted teams are shipping goals but Leeds and WBA should pick up a few wins along the way. Fulham will probably go down but may make more of a fist of it than Norwich did. Who else looks set to have a bad season? West Ham are a mess but they will throw money at it if needed and probably stay up. They might get a good new manager in at some point. Brighton and Newcastle are probably good enough to stay up. Sheffield U could plummet down from last year. Apart from that, it's hard to see anyone being bad enough to go down. The mid table sides like Wolves, Everton, Leicester are far too strong to go down or be close to the scrap. The top 10 or so are as safe as they've ever been. We won't do a Puel and finish 8th with 46 points this year and if we don't start picking up home wins we will really struggle.

We don’t buy success, we breed it.
-
Their keeper made one very good save and a few routine ones. Lawrenson is correct. We’ve played two games and looked shite.
-
Totally agree. We've needed a creative influence in central midfield for years. Lemina was supposed to provide it but we've never replaced him, despite giving up on any attempt to reintegrate him.
-
Indeed. We had no choice about Reed given the option but to shift Lemima and Hojbjerg as well with no replacement is inexcusable. We start the season with a threadbare midfield, which is just negligent, particularly when we ask them to run so much.
