    4-2-2-2

    I was right!
  4. Chelsea about to withdraw apparently.
  5. The issue is that these people have shown they don't care one jot for the game, only about their own financial success. So if a compromise is reached now, they'll be pushing for more in 5 years. They'll want fewer PL matches. They'll want to play in USA and China. And so on. Either way, when resources are concentrated in a few people, and those people are cultural terrorists with no concern for the rest of the pack, the writing is on the wall. The PL, FA and government need to bite the bullet now and do something for the long term. The current football business model is unsustainable. A 51% fan ownership law would be hilarious. Effectively nationalising half of the clubs from under the noses of these cunts. The tax payer would need to compensate them, or the country would be a banana republic, and that would stink but would hopefully preserve (or, more accurately, restore) some integrity in the game in the long run.
  6. Maybe the Premier League, FA and government shouldn't have allowed the clubs to be sold off to oligarchs, leveraged buy outs and absolute monarchs. This is a case of the game reaping what it has sown. A bubble bursting. Any other such metaphor you like. This is cultural terrorism from a footballing Taliban that cares for nothing but power and money. And they were welcomed in.
  7. No doubt. The financial impact on the other clubs will be disastrous, unless there are large handouts from the "Super" clubs. Clubs rely on a TV deal to survive and that deal will be massively diminished in value. Good chance of clubs folding on the back of this.
  8. I'd be furious if I was Adams. He's been our best striker this season.
  9. Get Adams on for Redmond.
  10. If Chelsea play like that they'll batter us though. I thought they were excellent.
  11. I did the survey. It was quite fun.
  12. Don't forget the North London Yobbos. A pivotal figure in the history of Southampton FC was Rupert Lowe, a loved and respected figurehead for the club who dragged it into the modern era. Bon viveur, polymath, man of the people. Rupert was the talk of the town. Unfortunately some Tottenham fans were jealous of our new success and took a dislike to Rupert. One day when he was out ducking, they followed him and kept shouting "Swing Lowe" whenever he tried to get a shot off. Poor Rupes bagged barely enough for a 1/4 Peking Crispy and was, rightly, enraged. He denounced Tottenham as "North London Yobbos" and the DEF, that Derek Turkish mentions above, were put on orders to thrash on site any North London Yobbos spotted between the bollard shape formed by drawing a line connecting the points of Winchester Services on the A34 to the north, Rownhams Services on the M27 to the west, and Bursledon Tesco to the east and dropping two vertical lines south to the coast from the east/west points. Suffice to say, they don't dare encroach and matches between the clubs are now extremely fiesty, with much bad language.

Lambeth and Wandsworth, potentially. Wandsworth is full of Saffas, so makes sense! I once saw a pub landlord aggressively challenge a chap doing the typical pub Arsenal fan thing of ordering half a coke and spending all afternoon watching the football. If you know, you know. https://www.itv.com/news/2021-04-12/covid-surge-testing-in-wandsworth-and-lambeth-after-at-least-44-south-african-variant-cases-confirmed?utm_source=upday&utm_medium=referral
  14. Put Cosimo Sarli on FFS!!!
  15. That should be a pen to us.

    As I was saying..... https://www.timesofisrael.com/real-world-israeli-data-shows-south-african-variant-better-at-bypassing-vaccine/amp/?utm_source=upday&utm_medium=referral

    Coronavirus

Seems to me that the notes of caution are largely due to the SA variant and potential future variants. There is doubt how effective the curernt vaccines are against the South Africa variant. This is why some countries were "red listed" even with comparably low case numbers - some of them are countries where the UK suspected the dominant strain doing the rounds was the SA strain. I heard this from a senior official source. They also need to keep a cautious tone to stop people acting like Bacchanalians until this is definitely under control. More spread amongst younger unvaccinated groups equals more chance of nastier strains emerging.
  19. I tend to agree. He can be massively frustrating with his passing and shooting but he is still quick, had a good first touch and finds space better than anyone else in our squad. The best attacking football we have played has been when he and Armstrong are in the side. If his passing and shooting was more reliable he never would have left Arsenal for Everton and he certainly wouldn't be playing for us now. If we sign him on a free and get another 3 years, it's a decent deal. Better than risking £15m on a punt when we also have Djenepo and Redmond.

    Male Privilege

I'm getting pretty sick of toxic femininity, to be honest.
  22. Yeah, going on recent results between the teams you'd have to say we've a great chance against Man U.
  23. Women who go to the gym and just ponce around on the phone or walking slowly on a treadmill. You really need to crowd up the gym to do that, luv? * *exception made for hot women. Unless their voice is so annoying it outweighs the allure.
  24. Good luck Atkins'.
  25. Two terrible goals to concede. But aside from that we were, generally, rubbish. There's no point doing like-for-like substitutions for average or poor players. You're bringing Redmond and Nlundulu on, not Aguero and Silva. You can't just carry on doing the same thing that has not worked for 70 minutes and hope for the best. I think that was one of the worst performances this season. Several players playing really badly and making stupid mistakes, a few looking knackered or half-arsed and a manager looking spent.
