  1. Funny, because Solent thought Saga had a good game. Mind you, I think Dave Merrington has had his brain replaced with a Banal Truism Machine.
  2. If Man City don't win the league then it's a sure sign they need to spend more money. I expect their fitness is also involved somehow.
  3. Boring, whining, predictable, immature gash.
  4. Why? What you do, is this: watch the games and see what the reasons are and recognise that the reasons for conceding a goal may differ from game to game.
  5. Yes, I think that's the point he's making but in this case he is completely wrong.
  6. We hit the bar twice after scoring and had a goal ruled out for offside. FFFFFFFFS.
  7. Definitely. A sports psychologist would prevent unlucky ricochets leading to penalties.
  8. Maybe Maradonna sees something in Smith that we're all overlooking?
  9. I would come dressed as Jesus but blacked up; they'd all have a heart-attack. (Mods: This is not a racist comment is a satirical quip at my perceived hypocrisy in relation to the kind of people who appear on the programme and give the tremendous impression of being self-important bigots - that is all.)
  10. Bit strange really - questioning the "source of his funds". Sounds like he's restuctured the debt and bought the club for a nominal amount so the soruce of his "funds" could be a £1 online transfer from his current account. "Where do you get that squid Sulaiman?" - "I sold a '99 innit". If they want to know how he is going to fund the debt obligations then won't that involve quesitoning him on his future business plan? I wouldn't have thought the FA's ambit went that far; aren't they just concerned with the "here and now" of where any purchase monies came from? Presumably he will continue the search for more significant funds going forwards, after all, that is what equity investment companies do. I suppose if there is a sudden influx of cash later then that will need to be shown to be above board. Sorry Skates, I don't think the Premier League will save you from this one.
  11. Good question. It's not really news is it. "There was widespread shock today when exactly the same thing that has happened for the last 30 years occurred on GCSE/A-Level results day."
  12. Oh yeah, and for about the fifth time on here.... Nathan Tyson.
  13. Right, let's sign him then.
  14. Who gives a toss, we have the fourth richest owner in British football.
  15. And a final thought.... GCSE are a **** load easier than "O" Levels were. This is FACT. I know it is FACT because I did Additional Mathematics when taking my GCSEs. The Additional Mathematics Paper was an old "O" Level paper and also covered most of the first year of the A-Level Pure Maths course. It is the hardest exam I've done and that includes A-Levels and two degrees.
  16. If you do a good degree at a good uni, or a specific degree targeted at a specific career that demands said degree, it will help your career unless you want to do something that doesn't require a degree to do. This is clearly a glib truism but some seem to be struggling with it. Oh, and by the way, even if you don't improve your career with your degree you'll have a ****ing awesome three years and will not spend the rest of your life wishing you had gone to uni.
  17. Cracking programme. It's like Songs of Praise but I don't want to punch everyone in it.
  18. v Villa on the telly... ****ing awesome support. I think they deserve "peeps" on TSWForum Muppet Show.
  19. very good.
  20. But it's already been bought by the ice-cream man!
  21. I absolutely agree and was going to post something similar to Ash's post. Those guys look so stupid. They're just kids acting the way kids in a playground do. "Come on then!", whilst backing away. Sad people. Bunch of Bizzles, the lot of them. Oh and Ash....
  22. The fact that they increase accross the board every year for about the last 1,000,000 makes a mockery of the whole system. Congratulations to all who achieved the reuslts they wanted though - you can only beat the team put in front of you!
  23. Absolutely right. It does my head in when people claim the lower leagues are "more physical". There might be a bit more running around after the ball because the players aren't as good as keeping it but the notion that you need to be "harder" or prepared to indulge in thuggery is pure hokum. Let's have a look at the team tipped by many to win the Premier League this year: Carvallho Terry Alex Bosingwa Mikel Essien Ballack Drogba To people honestly believe they are "less physical" than the players in League One? The fact is that Schneiderlin may well discover some form if he leaves us, or he may not. He clearly has some raw talent, however his product for us has been largely disappointing and that has nothing whatsoever to do with what League we're in. It might be down to management, dispondency, lack of application, inability to perform in matches, being surrounded by poor players... whatever, but it's certainly not down to the superhuman physical prowess of lower league football teams.
  24. No doubt Wenger is just putting the finishing touches to Arsenal's bid.
