  1. Does that mean big Vic was taken off because of an injury, and not because he was playing crap?
  2. No problem, next year's parachute payments from the PL will cover that. Oh ....
  3. Carthorse or not, I'm glad he's playing 3 fewer matches. More chance SRL being picked over him for a seat to Brazil. Given half a chance, England managers do have a history of choosing carthorses (e.g Batty), and overlooking thoroughbreds (e.g. MLT).
  4. Surprised no-one has mentioned wanting WBA to go down. They did their best to send us down. Having secured safety they lost most of the last part of the season (rolling over and giving up against a number relegation candidates), reserving their one good performance against us. So I wouldn't shed a tear if WBA (and WHam of course) go down. Normally I've nothing against Sunderland, but I'd love to see Gus go down as well.
  5. This. Fulham may have been knackered in the last 10-15 minutes, but the transformation happened the moment Cork came on.
  6. Hopefully Cork and Clyne will start this time.
  7. Exactly. They should have been Mawhinneyed, and now lying at least 7 points adrift of safety. Anyway, there's a chance they'll go down without the FL's help, and maybe start life in the sKrill league next year on minus-a-lot (and with parachute payments disappearing in the rear view mirror). Nutjob heaven, and the 100,000 milestone a formality.
  8. Assuming the DFCSBs stay up this year.
  9. Better than webbed!
  10. You usually are.
  11. And therein lies the rub.
  12. You don't have to give up that part. Just our position with Sunderland in the league, and their League Cup final. You don't have to give up that part. Just our position with Sunderland in the league, and their League Cup final. You don't have to give up that part. Just our position with Sunderland in the league, and their League Cup final. Anyway, I wouldn't swap. Although we'd unlikely go down, there would still be a risk, especially with a few key injuries (Gazza in goal for example). Not to mention we're still in the FA Cup (and they'll be the team not wanting to risk players in that match), and it's unlikely we'd beat a rampant Citeh in the League Cup final.
  13. Fantastic, fantastic game of football between two excellent teams. Some of our passing and one touch play was sublime. We deserved to win I think based on our total domination in the 1st half, but fair play to Arsenal who also had their chances in the 2nd half.
  14. Can't risk injuries.
  15. Probably Clyne is being rested for the more important Cup game.
  16. Why "unfortunately", the FA Cup lost its way years ago, and we're not going to win anyway, right?
  17. Hopefully he'll be fit for the important match against Sunderland.
  18. Nice bloke, good manager, treated like shit by many fans. Not directly Saints related, but how many players can claim to have scored all 4 goals in a 2-2 draw?? http://www.whoateallthepies.tv/aston_villa/175548/classic-moments-chris-nicholl-scores-all-four-goals-in-aston-villas-2-2-draw-with-leicester-city-1976.html
  19. A draw or a win it is then. Or are you talking about your lot, struggling near the foot of L2?
  20. Who was here already, who averaged 1.23 points per game when he was here, who wanted to stay, who has continued to be a fine coach elsewhere, and who was booted out by Lowe (out of spite to Crouch), replaced by clowns who did take us down.
  21. Why do you care how many we won by?
