  1. He's new. Hopefully it will last, and he doesn't develop favourites and teacher's pets.
  2. Can't complain, that's about my level.
  3. Yeah that's true, the VAR refs in the booth need to be competent. Half the time they aren't.
  4. I don't mind waiting for the other team's offside goals to be chalked off (or ones batted into the net with their hands). Or for our disallowed onside goals to be given.
  5. Yes, and he didn't pick Moi. What a relief.
  6. I know you're probably joking, but I think we'll probably miss VAR in the not too distant future. PL refs are bad, down here they are worse. As they say, be careful what you wish for.

  8. Yep. The following shit sandwich got us relegated.
  9. We should tell them we are willing to make a £25m bid for Salah. Which is technically not a lie.
  10. Unless FIFA awards it to one of them as hosts. Or expands the competition to 128 teams.
  11. Not Hants!
  12. Yes, but we are still stuck with Rasmus W. Ankersen.
  13. Biden has made it clear that abortion should be legal, and that he doesn't impose his faith's beliefs on others. He is in lock step with Democrats on this (just as Republicans are unanimously against abortion - not that they really give a shit about it, it is just red meat for their base and the evangelical vote).
  14. They could come in useful if you run low on toilet paper.
  15. So the bastard retires just after we get relegated. "Mission accomplished, I can retire now!" - Mike F**king Dean.
  16. I have a feeling that I have seen it before...
  17. If we can get Jared Kushner (Trump’s son in law) to “negotiate” with Qatar I reckon we should be able to get a billion for Diallo.
  18. Whilst I agree with that general sentiment, maybe he agreed to sign for us with the understanding that we wouldn’t stand in his way if a big club came calling. Of course the price has to be right, and given the 40 million buy back clause with City he can’t complain if we insist on 50 million from someone else.
  19. Well that didn't work out very well. A grand total of one run in his two innings. Didn't he average about 10 last season? How long before they decide he's never going to make it in red ball?
  20. The difference between him staying and going is probably no more that £5m in wages, so hardly a huge gamble.
  21. Good.
  22. If him staying is the difference between going up or not, then one year of his high wages would be worth every penny.
  23. How's that decided, by drawing of lots? That's the only fair way, since the team winning the first match has an advantage of resting before the final.
  24. A difficult choice, although I'm not sure why you are only asking @suewhistle I couldn't decide, so put all the names in an hat (minus JWP), and drew out Joe Aribo.
  25. Therein lies the rub. We're not in the PL. I think HCDAJFU in the Championship. Much like some of our other PL failures, which many are ready to dismiss before they kick a ball against weaker opposition.
