Even you say your sons friends were there??? if what ever has happened sudenly flared up. nobody apart from those involved will know the reason for the flare up/ Its easy to make a judgement once all the claret is spilt not events leading up to it. Im not doubting your lads friends on events as no doubt they were having a good time and consuming copious amounts of alcohol or were they on the kaliber. many moons ago I got arrested by the police following an attack . A polie car was patrolling where I was walking when I was subject to a mugging. Being 20 years younger than the attacker . it was me that was intially arrested and told I would face a charge of ABH , then GBH then drunk and disorderly. I spent several hours in a police cell before I was asked for my version of events. Now this all happened at about 6pm on a saturday. near the houses of Parliment. I might have only been 19 at the time but I have a right to defend myself. I had not been drinking either . In the end the police realised that the other person concerned had a history of violent attacks and was wanted by them for a serious assault else where. The police gave me an apology but I have never trusted them since and I was right to defend myself. It was worrying at the time as the police assumption was that it must have been a 19 year old attacking a 45 year old not vice versa So like the police in my incident . its important to establish exactly what went on before passing judgement. All to often the alleged victim can turn out to be perpertrator. I wasnt at the white house and cannot comment Barnard is innocent until proven guilty un less there are bent cops about

I do not know about criminal law but like mot assaults and attempted murder cases they normally charge the individual with a couple of days of the incident. I can only deduce that what ever happened is not as clear cut (no Pun intended) as some of the eye witness rumours would suggest I hope Barney is fit for saturday. Since this story first broke on Sunday . there have been various opinions as to what had happen. A bottle be smashed over some head a glass being used. multiple stabs with the bottle. In the past I have only come across a singular glass or bottle injuries to the face. Normally the person on the receiveing end falls to the ground in pain and covered in blood while the assailent legs it. I have never seen a multiple glassing to the face in all the time I worked in an A&E dept. So I will wait for the truth to come out as to who did what in the wee small hours of Sunday

Always made me laugh. Im sure in recent years he was probably getting frustrated with himself due to his failing health. He always tried to keep people happy and do things for charity. but the older you get the more grumpier you become and he was 95 so maybe thats what you witnessed dark stonic. i will remember him for all the fun he gave me over the years through his films and slapstick
