  1. Hatch They should have there own Scotlands Got Talent Series Don't you mean the White Heather Club or Karaoke singing in the horseshoe bar in glasgow. the very pub that lead to TRAVIS stardom
  2. So waht is Lea Salonga doing now Colm Wilkison was one of the singers I heard when I saw Les Mis for the second time. I was pretty impressed with Martin Guerre as musical to. also while we are on the subject I though both the saturday night fever set and Miss Saigon were brillian. loved the helicopter in Miss Saigon. I do back stage amatuer dramatics set building and always inspired by the professional sets that are put together but you cannot beat the cleverness of the les mis barrier set. awesome
  3. I was concerned the Leon was puuting out a message on the OS I don't quite understand this. He speaks to us fans at a game. does the same thing in the echo and now proclaims the same vein of words on the OS. Is he using this as a ploy /smoke screen to detract any would be buyers from the buying the club because a n other are getting a bit twitchy or is he really sincere about the club in final few breaths of its life. Sorry for bieng a tad suspicious as I respect leon as a true fan but something in this whole equation doesn't add up.
  4. Derry I am in total agreement with what youa re saying here "For me the only criteria is to be in SMS next season watching Saints" However if we fail to attract a suitable buyer and the only option is to have a set of fans running the club then I can state that if chorley or mcmillan are anyway involved I will not purchase a season ticket for next season. They have as much history as lowe and co and have equally divided the fan base. What we need is fresh faces, new ideas and certainly no history re the last few years. Just when I think we were all coming together as a united group of fans the ego's ride into town. But im not suprised
  5. I didnt think it long before wolvie smith and the free tooting bec came riding back into town. I was very interested in the save our saints campaign sadly by having SISA involved you have just blown any support/donations I was about to give to them. If you think lowe and co divided the fans so did certain members of SISA.
  6. Alain Im waiting to buy a season ticket , but have no information. At leat the club are guarranted at least two season ticket holders next year if not three if we include Dubai PHil as well I will also make a donation but I do not want into go into some blackhole request, not knowing if it will go to help the club. The save our saints looks a good bet as I know one or two of the organisers.
  7. Ive seen Les Mis three times and Susan Boyles rendition of I dreamed a dream was far better than any of the actresses that played collette in the stage show. I was moved by her voice. I take the points that she stunned the audience re her looks etc > I await to hear her sing another song but based on the one she sang, it was nothing short of brilliant.
  8. On a less serious note, If the club is going to fold next week does that mean the Japanese origami business consortium will betaking over Just a thought..............................
  9. 24 days to save the club Piffle Its not 24 calender days its 24 working days so the clock is still ticking Im glad to see Comrade Chorley has entered the fray. He is absolutely correct about his premonition 10 years ago. I wish I had not wasted buying club shares and instead put a couple of grand on saints going out of business in 10 years time. I would have got odds of at least 1000/1 and saved the club My sincere apologies go to Richard for not believing in him 10 years ago. Maybe his idea of taken on board the barcelona model is a genuine option the club can use in the future.:cool:
  10. The Guardian article better late then never. Southampton line up 31 potential buyers • Saints' parent company to produce shortlist of four or five bidders • Club hopeful of sale before summer Southampton 's parent company has attracted as many as 31 different parties interested in buying it out of administration, a source familiar with the situation has said. A shortlist of about four or five bidders for Southampton Leisure Holdings will be selected after a process of due diligence, the source said. Parties mostly include wealthy British individuals, sometimes based abroad in locations such as Monaco, who are interested in football but who see the game mostly as a business, the source said, adding that no hedge funds or private equity firms – who often showed interest in football clubs at the peak of the credit cycle – have submitted an offer for the Championship club. Parties involved aim to strike a deal as soon as possible, for the summer tends to play against the finances of football clubs – they still have to pay players' salaries yet they receive no income as the season is off. Southampton fell into administration earlier this month after its falling gate receipts were not enough to maintain high player salaries and costs related to about £28m of debt. Restructuring specialists Begbies Traynor are acting as administrators. The club was relegated from the Premier League in 2005; they are now second from bottom of the Championship and, with two games of the season remaining, three points adrift of safety.
  11. Do keep up Ron the its happening on "Friday" is obsolete, the new saying is its happening next week. So relax the new owners will be revealed next week
  12. Why cant people move on with out constantly regurgitating the RL factor. We have been in a financial melt down for 2/3 years now and sadly due to the credit crunch Barclays are having to recoup billions they leant out in toxic debts. Therefore It is Barclays who pulled the plug on the club. not lowe crouch or wilde. yes they have a responsibility but Barclays are the main culprits. I just want this season to end and then I can hopefully look forward to the regeneration of Southampton Football Club. If its Div 1 then so be it. We will be back
  13. Might see you there Nick I will wear my saints top for an afternoon. So far its been to Hong Kong , Malta , Basra, Dublin , Singapore Malaya Shetland and soon east and west coast of america
  14. Saint Warwick I also thought about the following 'it was like I'd been whipped by the Taliban' I'm assuming she has been whipped by the Taliban before to compare it. I assume she has been over to to ****stan and attended a taliban trg camp to enjoy such punnishment. Given the talibans take on women and punnishment , she would not have been whipped but a bullett would have been put in her head. Also now max clifford is her media advisor, I notice she's now gone from being a would be anarchist to a glam model, Judging by her media interviews. Super hairstyle. Makeup makeover , glam clothes and to think she was there protesting about capitalism amongst other things
  15. Im off to america for 3 weeks in june, Im having 4 days in new york anybody know of some decent reasonably priced hotels/accomodation over in NY?
  16. Its too easy to blame the police for what happened 20 years ago. Even the BBC and the bloody liberal do gooders are still blaming the police for the death of those fans today. Yes its tragic and as somebody else has pointed out, holiganism was rife hence the fences being put up. but hen there were a groups of fans who were also culpable for what happened On a side note there was a huge memorial service held in aberdeen today for the victims of the helicopter crash. It made the local news but played second fiddle on the national news to the hillsborough disaster. Just shows you how much the media influence our lives. something that happened 20 years ago is more important than very recent events
  17. If the mamby pamby liberals are supporting it, then the football club will have no future. I recollect the libbies (Davies Dear) despised football when we had the say yes to stoneham campaign . He told me in eastliegh that he disliked football and what the local communty need was a good outdoor cross country track. Hw would do everything possible to oppose saints having a new stadium. So expect the national cross country champions to be held annually in SMS.
  18. Whats the name of the guy in the shades to the left and just behind the the guy in the double breasted blazer with the brand new saints scarf. I think he is the director of cedar press
  19. Off to the Game Now have fun on the forum this afternoon Come on Saints bring some happiness to the fans and this forum and stuff the eagles
  20. Can anyone join this debate Who is Doug NC? Who is long shot and who is Help Me Rhonda and Finally who the F*** is Alice? :) PS Im Mike
  21. PS SHearer and Dowie will be availble next season providing Jo Kinnear makes a full recovery
  22. I don't think we as fans will have a say who we will have as a manager I just hope we don't have some meglomaniac like they have at QPR taking over our club. They change managers more frequently than the sheets at a plush hotel in london This thread is about Wotte and I would like to give him another season to put things right. This thread has ****ed me off somewhat. When I posed this question last week re would the fans now turn on Wotte, I was called a thick **** + + by some more esteemed posters. and here we have a thread debating a replacement for wotte barely a week later.

  24. I used to live in Winterbourne Gunner -does that count?
  25. Richmond I hope you are wrong about lowe. We need a totally clean seep in the boardroom. Lowe , crouch, wilde hone and co have all contributed to dividing the fans in one way or another. Some more so than others. LC is a true sainst fan I cannot fault that. I don't have a problem with that, its the boardroom politics I have aproblem with. As for Lowe and the others Im not going to get embroiled in that debate as it has been done to death and I sincerely hope he never returns to club apart from being a paying fan like you and I
