What an excellent win on 5/8/09 against Yorkshire - a last gasp winner! Onwards and upwards!
-
Over paid, over-hyped, over-rated, over the hill - glad to see the back of him frankly.
-
Trott - in form; Cook - dreadfully out of form.
-
Yep mine seems to have worked too.

Stephen Fry's speech at Strauss' dinner at Lord's last week Part 2
Leicestersaint replied to John B's topic in General Sports
Good speech by Fry - I can also hear him delivering it. However, i can't see any mention of the real threat posed by the current administrators in selligng out lock, stock and barrel to Sky - the numbers watching cricket of all kinds on the box are now so much smaller than they used to be. This is a real threat in my view. -
Ha ha, but apart from that ....

It is good news - I think he may do well for us this season.

I had the pleasure of meeting Bobby Robson in 1989. He was very genuine and considerate. Rest in peace Bobby. XXXXXX

Well the batting just wasn't up to scratch - what a shame.

Part 1 of a few - Dave Jones: No Smoke, No Fire

Yes i totally agree. I know a bit about the Liverpool case that Dj was caught up in - a friend of mine was also arrested on the basis of a completely false allegation and it was neraly two years before it was alldropped - and my friend is a woman. The police involved in this case were on a nice little number and managed to keep the whole thing going for many years - the police and the CPS come out of this case very very badly indeed. -
It's pouring down in Leicester complete with large hailstones that could do a fielding side a bit of damage.

Postponed until tomorrow. It is tipping it down in leicester. What a summer!
-
I really don't mind at all - I am much more concerned that we should get our own good side together and get promoted. What Pompey and Anti Niemi do is of secondary interest to what happens to Saints.
-
I do not feel at all confident about this match and feel we will really miss KP.
-
Hear, hear! Warne made a huge difference to Hampshire's attitude - let's hope AP can do the same to the footballers.
-
I couldn't get to Lords but have watched it all day on the box. A really great result - and a great team effort. Well done Hampshire - real skill, dedication and effort - how I wish Saints could emulate our great cricket team.
-
Fantastic - well done to everyone involved (and also to good old Shaney)!
-
Come on Hampshire - it's looking good!
-
Today's the day! i think we are the underdogs but it is high time we showed Sussex who is best on the south coast! Come on Hampshire!
-
I fear that we are going to really struggle without KP. Watch this space!
-
I followed the game while away - I am glad to hear DM is OK. I don't know why Dawson was bowled so little in their first innings. England are going to miss KP big time - but still we have Bell!.
-
303 for 6 - disappointing
-
Time to try Dawson for a bit?
-
128 for 3 - Ervine 5 overs for 38!

Ashes Second Test - Lord's, 16-20 July

Why persist with Broad? Why not let Cook regain some confidence in the CC? Given our team, I am not confident about Lords - but surely it is time we beat them if we haven't since 1934!
