Very very poor today - and Pochettino doesn't seem to have any ideas about what to do when things don't go right. We had loads of possession but hardly any shots on target - no end product. Hugely disappointing. And as for bringing on Guly - words fail me!

I fear that he is never going to deliver for us.

We certainly need a new top-notch keeper with Boruc then as back up.

Cork has been one of our best players this season in my view.

If we are serious about promotion then surely we want a good start to the season. I think this is a disappointing opening game - very poor batting in general and poor bowling. We need to improve - and soon.

We should win this - but we will miss JRod's pace. Maybe Sam Gallagher can have a good run out?

Really sad news - he has been getting better and better and now this.

The standard of referees is worse now than it's ever been in my recollection. They are really poor.

It seems to me that the quality of the refereeing and assistants' decision in the PL have got worse and worse - that offside was so obvious it defies belief that the linesman and referee did not honestly see it.

Very disappointed and upset by the injury to JRod - I just hope it is not as bad as it looked. Everything else is secondary really. We played well in the first half but did not test Hart enough. We need another fast striker to bring on in these circumstances. The linesman who gave the offside was dreadful. Gazza does not look good enough for the PL to me (again).

Not quite good enough - did well in first half but failed to test Hart sufficiently. We need a new keeper, new CB and new pacey striker in reserve to bring on.

I read this morning that English players have scored 35 of Saints goals (not 36) whereas 1 Englishman has scored for City all season! I know which team I would rather support.

It is certainly not a question of hating him. That's ridiculous. He is simply not good enough at this level - we need a new goal keeper with Boruc as reserve.
