Read the latest statements by Green today in the papers north of the border about oldco Rangers players. He said with Rangers likely to be playing in the Third Division if granted SFA membership in 2 weeks time (still not certain), there is nothing can be done with the last remaining players leaving Newco also.

Does this mean he's giving up his side line as male nude model? Just shows how well football pays these days if so.

I have to say I admire the stand you have taken on this thread and wish a few other regulars would follow suit. I only said he must be in Nigel's plans because he's with the squad in France. I think his height of 6ft 7in must have appealed when we signed him, beyond that it's a mystery but doesn't call for the witch hunt he's being subjected too does it?

I am ashamed to be a Saints supporter when I see any player being made victim of a witch hunt on this or any forum. He has Nigel's support, he is part of his plans. Any other player thinking of joining the club will have second thoughts if he or any of his friends/family read this type of thread. Lee seems incredibly injury prone. He injured himself after a match where he spent the game on the bench. How bady can you be jinxed like that?

Barnard played around a half dozen games in the Premier League for Tottenham. Sadly his chances were ruined by injury there as at Saints. So he has played at the highest level.

Here is a really excellent article on the pressure being exerted on the SFA on overuling the deal that sees Rangers starting the new season in the 3rd Division. I definitely agree with Saint Garrett and found Folly did very well in the games he played for Saints in the Premiership under Sturrock. He even made the French Espoir team but after his injury he never showed the same form for Saints. I have to say, on hindsight reflection, reading sammysaints comment about it was Strachan who brought he and Griffit to St Mary's. neither have never really made it, or Aaron Davies another Strachan recruit. Strachan wasn't the manager a lot of Saints supporters thought he was. The rot that eventually took it's toll, had a lot to thank Strachan in that he never really recruited future star players for the club.

Thoroughly agree with you Norm. Cannot believe that these are Saints supporters who post such stuff on here. Baz can't be on here 24/7 but things are going in a bad direction. The Rules aren't followed one bit, people are being insulted using vile words that only degrade this club of ours. No one knew anything about what Claus said was going on! Why would that be, if Claus has been prepared to destroy his reputation to make these claims? Possibly no one heard bout it because it was going on but between fellow Norwegian, Scandinavian players, at Saints, playing for other clubs in the Premiership at the time. One was an ex policeman whom I can't see getting involved in anything like that. Could it have involved international games and Norwegian players who were playing in the UK?

What a shambles, and one has to question to what extent they took things to. Who's not to say matches in our relegation season weren't thrown, especially based on Claus's declarations and the manager we had in charge at the time. Coaching was maybe not only in football but how to throw games and earn extra money big time. Where does Bruce Grobbelaar stand in Claus's Saint's career?

I made my opinions known about players using Twitter some time back on here. Familiarity breeds contempt. If a player, journalist chooses to expose themselves on Twitter or Facebook to the public, and interact with supporters, then they reap what they sow. As for supporters blindly being taken in my false accounts, then I can only draw a comparison with those taken in and answering to the "Hello Dare" emails from our Nigerians friends. Twitter operates a Verified Account system that most genuine celebs, players, media personalities use. Where Facebook is concerned it is up to the individual player, journalist, etc. to decide if he wishes to interact and receive messages from just anyone. Again, most genuine accounts of a personality are tailored to only accept messages from friends. I have myself written expressing appreciation to several players on Facebook for adding me as a friend, and receiving courteous replies, but, at no time, have I gone on to pump them for insider information as I know one or two on here have tried to do. In life, most of us know our place and don't take advantage of players. journalists or their friends.

In quoting to ITK Knobs on here, I was referring to so called persons who make out they have insider information from the club, the management, the players of Southampton Football Club. I wasn't referring to those members posting and quoting newspaper articles, other club insiders. Everyone knows these rumors have been rift for weeks along with other rumors, but nothing has come from SFC itself. The club is as tight on leaks as it's been on all information since Cortese was in charge, till it's a done deal.

What's there to feel for Rangers? For years they have rubbed salt into every club that got into financial difficulty, even voting several out of the League. They're so popular that no other clubs what to do them any favors now. Justice is being seen to be done, just a pity those folk down the road are getting away with blue murder.

Delighted that this signing of Davis has gone thru and laughing at all the ITK Knobs who said it was a non starter. Where signings under Cortese are concerned there are few ITK but dozens on here trying to make out they have a finger on the pulse. More likely they have their arm stuffed up their own backsides.
