Truly gutted to read that Robin has lost his courageous battle with cancer. As everyone says, he was an amazingly talented and educzted guy who gave everything to his music and to others. His music will iive on forever. R.I.P. Robin for you brought so much into the lives of several generations

None other, what an amazing player he's been this season. Montpellier have proved that football and heart in a team can beat massive financial outlays. The city of Montpellier has invested ver the past 15 years in sport and academies which are bearing fruit. World hand ball chmpions, Basket Ball Champions and now football ligue champions. After suffering financial and relegation problems like the Saints, they are now one of the best financially balanced clubs in football. I'm proud to follow Saints and Montpellier who both prove team spirit and love of football is overcoming financial suicide.

Potential Champions Montpellier are playing Auxerre who were relegated and the Auxerre fans are determined to see the match doesn't finish. Montpellier need not to lose to win the Championship. 5 times the game has been stopped and players taken off for 20 minutes. Auxerre fans have thrown hundreds of tennis balls, toilet rolls into the goal mouth followed by smoke bombs preventing play. It's taken an hour to call in the riot police who finally are emptying the stand behind the goal. The new socialist Minister of the Interior has been in the stands. Total chaos. All other matches finished an hour ago and 4 teams season is reliant on this result. Fighting has broken out, CRS have resorted to tear gas and rubber bullets but the game has restarted and Montpellie has scored to lead 2 -1 This will be an incredible end of season for me with Saints back in the Premiership, Chelsea as European Champs and hopefully Montpellier Champions of France. Montpellier team is worth 2 million euros, PSG has spent 106 millions euros this season on players. Montpellier is playing this game away. 70,000 supporters are watching on 2 giant screens in the city center tonight.

The fact this one keeps appearing over and over is proof where Cortese is concerned, what he wants he gets and never gives up trying. I'd lay odds that Hooper has been Atkins number one target for a long time and Nicola knows this. This must be high on the agenda otherwise Cortese would have killed the story a long time ago.

Surely this new report deserves a new thread. Either Sky has lost the plot or everyone who logs on will lose the plot reading the previous 5 pages of nonsense.

I suppose his first move as President of cutting his own and ministers salaries by 30%, making them on day 1 all sign a charter forbidding second interests, and resigning if they lost their parliamentary or deputy seats, constitutes the brain of a clown.
-
He's just the type of attractive name player and super sub player to replace David Connolly at the club. Just think of his effect on the Academy lads. We have long been a club to sign up players based on long standing injuries. What's Delgado doing these days?

With every match on TV in the Premiership, we'd do well to wait and see how many turn up at St Mary's. Certainly amongst the majority who post on here, I can't see many paying to go to the matches. I hope I'm wrong and would be over the moon if we expand and pull in the crowds week after week.

Hollande's first act is a 30% cut in salary for himself, ministers and MP's. He will increase taxation to fund his spending. Given the current crisis, by 19th June when the parliamentary elections take place, the French may live to see very rapidly what a terrible thing they have done in throwing out Sarkozy. The best hope solution is that the UMP, centre parties retain hold on the parliament, with the possible return of Co-habitation, enabling the right to keep Hollande completely in check. His schedule is so full in the next 6 weeks internationally he's going to struggle to find time to know what the hell is going on. As far as Presidents go, Sarkozy has been an extraordinary President. Never before did a President apply himself to the task in hand, something Hollande is going to find a very hard act to follow. The Socialists say Sarkozy did nothing in 5 years. I beg to say, this is not true. He achieved much, put in changes that not even the Socialists will be keen to undo. Once his achievements are listed the changes he's brought about will be an eye opener to the French public. Let us see how Hollande does when he is faced by an even greater world financial crisis,

Within 6 months of signing for Everton Beattie was involved in a simple punch up and red carded. The guy is passionate about his game. Strange that back then no one was on here gloating about it. What a sad element have attached itself to what was once the most decent, most considerate and best supporters in the country. Haven't seen the same title being written about throughout the media. Nowadays, our very own supporters are so fast to cast muck and scandal about our players, past and present, instead of keeping quiet about stuff that ruins careers, families and trust.

Montpellier Registration Office today informed the local radio of recently used first names used during the past year. Suddenly the two announcers burst into uncontrollable laughter which resulted in the cutting the broadcast. WHY? The choice of C L I T O R I N E as the name chosen in the city for a young girls name!!!!!!

If SKY is the problem then no need getting promotion to the Premiership. Every game will be televised so we're sunk before next season starts so the Stadium will be empty too.
-
Had our strikers scored from the incredible chances they had instead of the team hanging on to a 1-0 lead, what our defense players did later wouldn't have been cause to blame. We just are not scoring enough goals when we get so close to doing so.
-
Seeing our leading players distracted all week long by the likes of Twitter proved to me Nigel hasn't got the control of them to produce what was necessary today. I honestly hope that we don't screw it up against Coventry but have felt for some weeks we aren't ready for the Premiership. Nigel is not the man if we do get promoted or needs more experience if he is to manage in the Premiership. Saints never make things easy and have always thrown away golden chances throughout their history. Realy gutted

The topic has been the talking point here in France since the weekend. Of course, there has been much horror at the supporter and player suggestions of throwing the game "because the southern teams should stick together. Didier Deschamps and Marseille officials have been furious at the comments of supporters and Marseille players alike. What is strange is that Montpellier have until tonight never beaten Marseille at the Vellodrome. And yes, compared to the locals of Montpellier, the inhabitants of Marseille leave our Skate friends somewhat squeaky clean and respectable. There again, the fans of football in France are a lot different to those in the UK, having a very different outlook to those in the UK.

Tonight my local team Montpellier stand 3 points ahead of PSG at the top of the French Ligue. Even had they lost to local rivals Olympic Marseille they'd still be in top position like Saints are in the Championship. What is amazing is that Marseille supporters and even players had been calling for Marseille to throw the game to ensure Montpellier win the Ligue. In their eyes it's their duty to support a fellow southern team. Marseille's hated rivals are the northerners, especially Paris St Germain. Sad that we southerners in the Premiership find it impossible to support fellow southern teams and promote such hatred.

Typical Saints making a hard job of the run in, but what do you expect when our star players are more concentrated on tweeting on Twitter than putting full concentration on gaining results and promotion. Slip sliding Away keeps running thru my head non stop. Thoroughly agree that taking off Sharp was a really bad substitution that lost the momentum and gifted them with their equaliser. Felling sick, sick, really sick

On the night Capello stood down, I heard Talksport talking with Hoddle and expressing their belief Glenn would be an excellent choice to take charge for the Euros. I posted on here and the usual know it alls said it wasn't possible I'd heard what I heard. I'd even go to say now few are better experienced and capable than Glenn.

I'm totally against two guys/two girls getting married in church. It's completely against religious teaching. However Civil partnerships or Pacs as we have in France are a necessity nowadays in modern society for people of the same sex who love one another. I've nothing against same sex partnerships but no way should they ever be allowed to marry in a church. I think for those who so wish the church should bless same sex couples wishing to live together in partnership.

We Saints fans owe a big thank you to former Saint Simon Gillett who laid on the ball for Donnie's Jame Coppinger to score. Thanks Si.
-
Hey ho, hey, let everybody know That Saints are best, forget the rest Hey ho, hey ho hey ho. Feeling so much better with these 3 points and West Ham only managing a draw. We owe Donnie a lot for how they played today. Onwards and upwards.

When I saw the results just now the exact same words went through my head. It does look so much better but had we won we'd have been looking very pretty indeed.
