Just been perusing through a list of some of the famous male and females lovers of Sir Mick Jagger that appears in the new biography about to go on sale. Unbelievably he's still going strong and recently tried his luck with Pippa Middleton, It's a wonder he ever got a knighthood seeing the Royal Family haven't escaped his clutches. Wondering whether some of the forums more illustrious members are cringing at the thought of Mick's disclosures.

Summer 2012 HCDAJFU Thread - Premier League Special Edition
ART replied to Jimmy_D's topic in The Saints
It's sad when you wake up and realise that Saints are more interested in selling T Shirts than buying players to give us a decent chance in the Premier League. For 10 million Arsenal managed to buy the top striker in France, Europe has some great players available who don't care about what T Shirt is being sold. -
Let's face it. The Saints that most of us have known all our lives died in 2005. We are now in a new age, with a new Saints created in the image and dreams of Liebherr and Cortese. Can anyone not support their dream, their achievements? The team is dead, long live the team. Into the future and put the past to rest.

Just as printed in the Sundays. Steve Davis to reject newco Rangers on Tuesday http://www.sportinglife.com/football/news/article/165/7843551/rangers-quartet-join-rangers-exodus Rangers quartet join Rangers exodus Last Updated: June 26 2012, 21:33 BST Allan McGregor, Steven Davis, Kyle Lafferty and Jamie Ness have joined the Ibrox exodus after declining to transfer their contracts to Charles Green's newco Rangers. Sky Bet The law firm's statement added: "The union's lawyers are already instructed in this matter for Rhys McCabe and Sone Aluko. "Bridge Litigation UK has confirmed that letters of objection have been sent to the club along with requests to the SFA to release the players' registrations. "Bridge Litigation UK have shared with the players the contents of legal guidance issued by the SFA last week on the issue of TUPE and player registration and which they state supports their legal view that an objection under TUPE amounts to a lawful termination of contract giving the club no entitlement to a claim for compensation." Ms Gribbon added: "This has been an extremely difficult period for all the players and in the end their decisions were influenced largely by footballing considerations. "SPL football appears highly unlikely and even First Division football cannot be guaranteed in light of comments made today by two First Division clubs. "The players' commitment and loyalty to oldco Rangers cannot be questioned; they voluntarily took significant wage cuts in a genuine act of solidarity which ensured that none of the playing squad or club staff would lose their jobs. "But for their contribution, it's likely that the club would not have survived until the end of the season. "As professional footballers, the players' careers are relatively short lived and they are entitled to exercise basic employment rights the law affords to all employees in this country under the TUPE Regulations. "I now expect the SFA and FIFA to interpret their rules and regulations in accordance with the TUPE legislation so that the players' registrations can be released without delay."

MailSport can reveal Steve Davis, Stevie Naismith, Steven Whittaker, Kyle Lafferty and Carlos Bocanegra are giving serious consideration to walking away this week. They would join Sone Aluko and Rhys McCabe, both of whom have already decided to leave, and Rangers won’t receive a penny for any of the players if they go. The loss of Davis and Co would hit newco owner Charles Green hard in the pocket and leave Ally McCoist struggling to put out a decent team next season. The players have been advised by employment lawyers they are within their rights to quit as their contracts cannot be transferred to the new company. But Green disputes this and several court cases are now looming. The players have been told to inform the club by Wednesday – via a legal letter – that they do not want to be part of the newco or to be paid their current salaries. The wages are due to arrive in their accounts at midnight that day and Green has said he will pay them in full. However, several of them have been advised to take the exit route and plan to do so. Captain Davis is likely to end up at English Premier League new boys Southampton. Lafferty has fallen out with McCoist and Championship side Leicester City are keen on the striker. Stopper Bocanegra is also keen to leave after being unimpressed with several aspects of life at Ibrox last season.

Obviously you weren't around when we were in the Premiership and injury robbed us of many players in the huge squad we had. Who's to tell that the club hasn't planned on shipping out another player before the season gets underway. Lee offers a lot if he's uninjured and has a good nose for goal.
-
Shame on you David!. Since when does the Daily Star become a reliable source of information about players? I hate to see a decent guy like Lee get hacked to pieces and transferred out based on a crap bit of poor sports journalism. Don't any of you guys give a thought on what a player must think when trying to motivate himself for the time of his life, when he reads all the deckchair comments posted and based on absolutely nothing. David of the Daily Star might be a good handle to replace Sweden seeing we're back in the Premier League

I am running 4 versions of Firefox ( 2 Portable FF 14 Beta 07, 1 Firefox 13 Final, FF Aurora 15) Google Chrome 21, Comodo Dragon and Iron Browser side by side. My favorite and best is the Portable Firefox 14 Download at http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable Comodo Dragon is similar to Chrome but uses less memory. Portables are available for most software and don't hog memory

Delighted to read your assurances and also the good new as with a return to topic. It's high time we returned to the top quality posting as I'm sure a lot of others who've been put off by the same old individuals highjacking threads and talking nonsense. Well to Saints Jay Rodriguez, just the quality we need to go forward in the Premier League.
-
It's high time this thread was closed and a fresh Jay Rodriguez thread started. The discusion is anything but about him. Come on Admins. why does every thread go off topic nowadays. Impossible to get the news of what's going on

Maybe these findings lend weight to some of the theories and observations on the French http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/news/london/quelle-horreur-the-french-are-worlds-top-scaredycats-according-to-research-done-by-the-london-dungeon-7830684.html

I have tried to live my entire life walking in the shoes of others, trying to understand, to reason and to love. I have lived here in the south of France for almost 40 years, At 23 years I left the UK and went to live for 4 years in the heart of Germany, working for the US Air Force. I have worked 4 years in Africa, in Egypt, in Saudi Arabia, in Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Korea, and 20 years in China. Anyone who knows me will tell you few expats merged themselves more into the lives of these peoples than I myself. This is not saying I am an expert on what went on during the occupation of France. Yet I have heard for myself from many who did and am aware that the majority did nothing to oppose the occupation, denounced their fellow Frenchmen and women, sent thousands to the concentration camps, to their deaths. I live in their midst yet there are few that I would trust, believe in.

I'd like to point out that there are many graveyards in France where former British, American, Canadian, Australian, New Zealand war dead are buried. Hollande's visit was arranged by the previous government and had Sarkozy won the election it would have been him who was the first to visit the Ranville cemetery. I am going to look for a list of British War dead cemetery's which will show some have been visited frequently, whilst others have been sadly overlooked. And don't believe the majority of French were fighting on our side. I think the percentage of collaboration and just letting the Germans take over is extremely high. People forget Pétain and Vichy France. Few would admit they collaborated, supported the Germans, but it is a fact they like to conveniently forget and hide their participation.

The story's appeared online. He was doing well for quite some time, selling his produce in Montpellier itself. Twitter in France has him trending with everyone saying he's a genius and being his biggest fans. http://www.midilibre.fr/2012/06/08/dma-pour-arroser-son-cannabis-il-branche-sa-pompe-a-eau-sur-le-radar-automatique,514040.php

Funny story here on the local news here in Montpellier this morning about this guy caught cultivating a large area of cannabis plants in the countryside. Police said he was well organised with plenty of sun, water supply but lacked electricity. So what did he do, eventually leading to him being caught? Using a long cable, well hidden, he connected up to......................... a speed camera /radar installed by the regional police

All the graveyards were visited. Didn't you see Gordon Brown, and Prince Charles head bowed. Th Canadian PM Steven Harper? I spent the entire day watching it all live on TV here in France. Sarkozy definitely went with Prince Charles to lay a wreath in the UK graveyards. It was a huge event but originally the UK wasn't represented as Brown came to an arrangement with the Queen that she would not attend. In the end Charles and Camilla represented the UK.
-
This is a load of b o ll ocks. Sarkozy's first act was to commemorate the D Day landings together with Prince Charles. He visited the graves and laid wreaths. A good Google or Youtube search will find plenty of film coverage of the events surrounding D Day commemoration by Sarkozy. I watched the whole event on French TV and it remains embedded in my memory, especially the hommage Sarkozy paid to all those who were involved. A little reminder for those who've chosen to make Hollande a hero for attending this year. The only difference is he drove to Normandy, supposedly to economise on transport, and was caught speeding at 160 kph.

A new ecologist government minister of the new Hollande regime announced on TV last night here in France, that, although not current government policy, she fully approves legalising cannabis in France. It has caused a huge ripple of condemnation from her colleagues and embarrassed Hollande immensely,

A great reflection of where he is in my eyes Johnnyboy. He's a brilliant musician, singer-songwriter and that is where he shines. What gets me is when he opens his mouth to relate how brilliant he and his opinions are and some are taking his word for real.

Anyone else sick of Gary Barlow popping up on every other program, newsreel etc..? I found him bad enough last winter on the XFactor, then came Comedy Relief. Just when I'd had enough he's back with a vengeance. No sooner does the Jubilee finish and he'll be back for another season of XFactor. Hope he'll not be featured throughout the Euros or Olympics. Talk about overexposure.

What an incredible publicity today Her Majesty and Prince Phillip put over for standing on the terraces. Never been so proud to have such an incredible pair reigning over us. True Saints. Anyone see "Land of Hope and Glory" being performed with the rain pouring down on the drenched singers?
-
Pollsters are predicting Hollande will fail to get an absolute majority in next weeks parliamentary elections. Socialists are neck and neck with the UMP 32%/31% with ecologists, FN, Far Left and Center parties taking the rest. This will require Hollande to seek out support for future policies. The Public are getting wary as Euro zone finances worsen and there is talk of military intervention in Syria.

Good shout Badger. I'd completely forgotten and overlooked how he left Colchester. Kind of puts todays events into the right perspective. Much appreciated for that.

The new French government has just announced a boycott of the EURO 2012 in Ukraine. Hope other countries will follow suit. http://www.lefigaro.fr/international/2012/05/31/01003-20120531ARTFIG00875-la-france-boycottera-l-euro-2012-en-ukraine.php
