Every time you think this way, just take a look at the map and see how many private hospitals are within spitting distance of NHS ones. The private healthcare sector in this country only exists because it can be bailed out by the NHS whenever anything goes tlts-up.

I'd go along with all this Smirker, but youve got to wonder why the owners of these dogs so often choose to name them Satan, Tyson, Killer, Kane, etc etc, and what bearing that has on their training. Bull terriers are basically the product of a breed line of attack dogs and we can repeat the "its the owners" mantra as long as we like, they are still attack dogs and no amount of training is ever going to change that. However, regardless of the circumstances, the sick c*nts that were responsible for this acid attack should be locked up. End of.

I'm a dog owner myself, but I've got to agree with this post. There was an article recently in the echo or the advertiser, cant remember which, a dog was given a destruction order by a magistrate. Cue heartrending protest by owner, disabled woman whose only pleasure in life was her dog that wouldnt hurt a fly apart from the toddler it had just attacked, toddler must have done something to provoke the dog bladibladibla, front page of the local rag suggesting it was an outrage that the dog was going to be destroyed. last paragraph began "the bull terrier called Tyson......." ffs

University students are supposed to be the cream of the crop, which is why they are 'going to university/get a degree/pay taxes later/subsequently earn more money' than the rest of us. If they cant understand that then perhaps they shouldnt be considering the university option.

Almeria's pleasant enough, we had a few days there. Its in striking distance of Nerja, which is well worth a visit. I wouldnt have called Almeria a holiday resort as such unless we missed something? and we stayed just down the road from Albufeira 2 years ago, thats a really nice spot. Recommended. But if you do go ffs dont try to speak any spanish to the portuguese, they absolutely hate their guts.

If this government survives five years it will be in coalition with the liberal democrats. I'm no fan of the tories but I think its a little over-cynical to read that scenario into the current round of cuts. i also think it highly unlikely that they will cut income tax rates in this parliament.

Yes, its the thought. And its only a thought because it is, more accurately, a graduate tax repayable only if and when they are earning a graduate's income. And as you were listening to R4 yesterday you will have heard the rep from the mortgage lenders saying that it will make no practical difference to students when they get on the salary ladder and want a mortgage, as the percentage of income that will be deducted is so low. A couple of posters on here have quoted the scale, and if you look at it its pretty obvious that it wont impact severely on their disposable income.

the protesters seem to believe that big vern from the eezi-loan finance company is going to be kicking their front door down demanding his 20 grand back the minute they graduate. ffs

......but on this particular student issue he is right on the money.

He wont be any more able or any less able to.
-
Why would they, they havent even been able to work out that they wont be repaying their "debt" any time soon

They wouldnt have any qualms about quizzing you about it......... http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?26808-Nosy-bank-cashier

I keep hearing student protesters and critics of the proposal screaming that it will stop people even going to university because they cant afford to repay the enormous debts they would run up. tbpf, if nothing else its doing a decent job of weeding out the degree-course gene pool; if a prospective student genuinely cannot grasp the simple concept that they will not have to repay any of the "debt" until and unless they are earning a relatively high salary (which in all likelihood they would never have commanded without a degree), then I would question whether anybody, even themselves, ought to be paying for that person to undertake further education at all.
