....and they say romance is dead.

For some reason I cant fathom, Gabby Logan annoys me as well. She seems incapable during interviews of shutting the f*ck up and letting her guests speak. I still would tho. [cue gray/keys-type dismissal]

minor thread update, please restart your computer etc etc, a few sensitive souls got upset about this post earlier in this thread. I mentioned the song to a mate in liverpool earlier today, (he phoned to say he had watched the game and was absolutely gutted that judas owen scored against us,) and he said yes, we always sing that at them since they came up with the "hillsborough orphans" chant. I havent heard the one he means, but apparently thats a regular chant when man u play the scousers.

how much did you get away with?

I'll take your word for that mate, but I'm sure they called it a Classic capri in that article?? When i get a moment I will dig it out and post it, that car looked absolutely beautiful, and I'm not normally one to get worked up about cars.
-
Agreed. There was a letter in Viz, the guy said he couldnt stand the ad so he switched channels while its on. Trouble is, to know when to switch back he found himself singing the song in his head, sometimes you just cant win for f*cking losing.
-
That Classic Capri was one of the best looking cars I ever remember seeing. There was a dark burgundy one featured in Custom Car back in the day. I wanted that car.

ive just been printing out some paperwork (and killing time on here) while the mrs is baking something in the kitchen. She has the tv on and is watching 'Somethings got to give', a jack nicholson film. As far as I can work out, the dialogue consists entirely of diane keaton screaming, whinging and crying, and they all sound so alike that Im beyond caring which is which. It is driving me f*cking nuts. Rant over. What is the most irritating sound you have heard today?

48. 10 burglaries, 26 asb, a few cars nicked and 8 others. Oddly, my street doesnt show up on their listing.

I hope your wife never sees this thread

The 800 or so paying customers would amount to about four grand a year, hardly enough to keep steve grants bentley fuelled or baj's multiple guitars in strings. I cannot believe anybody involved is making any money from this.

tbh mate I dont remember that much about the game, I was just a schoolboy in the wilton end stood on a box. But what I do remember is the reception he got from our fans, and it wasnt pretty. Cant even remember who we were playing, who was it?

-1 fwiw Its hardly worth the effort of getting steamed up about it mate, the site ran slow yesterday, so what? Its like all the furore about snowploughs during the cold snap, if we had thousands of them on standby it would cost the country a fortune in taxes but when it snows and someone gets to work 12 minutes late its a disaster. When this site crashes look on it as a bonus and do something else. Personally I went and had a nice glass of merlot and a w*nk, so that was 45 seconds taken care of

he got barracked by our own fans for the whole of his debut. It didnt get much better after that either

Isnt there some kind of wireless streaming system to link to a tv? I heard a review of a netgear one, been thinking myself about this, would be great to get the bbc iplayer onto the tv. I think it was about £80, and they reckoned it was very good indeed.

.....and when he played for us we used to sing "osgood is a "w*nker", remember?
-
this. It was fantastic to go in at half time knowing we had outplayed the most successful football team in the country and scored against them, but the most satisfying thing to me was that they had to bring out the big guns nani and giggs to beat us. They would always have had the capacity to win the game, but Im glad they had to get a couple of players on whose wages would probably pay our entire squads to do it. Side note; I went with a mate who predicted that we would be well up for it and go in ahead at half time, but that the munichs would ultimately prevail and win the game. He got 20 quid on that scenario at 22/1 so he's up £440. Whether that was worth the barracking he got in the pub afterwards for betting against his own team I dont know....
-
Well I was sat alongside them and they certainly werent loud until they scored. Before that there were the Saints goading chants of "shall we sing a song for you", "are you scousers in disguise" and eventually "your support is f*cking shlt", as well as the usual we support our local team/live round the corner, you only live round the corner etc, and I didnt hear a peep out of the munichs fans in reply. My personal favourite was "fergie fergie youre a c*nt", but then I'm always pleased to hear that confirmed.
-
nutshell. Same as the blue few cup game, played the c*nts off the park but they have prem-quality strikers who rarely need a second chance. Interesting that ferguson made that point as well in the post match, 'michael owen, one chance, one goal'
