  1. I didn't see that win coming at all, had expected us to lose that and lose it badly. Well chuffed with that, and if we can do palace as well.... On a side note I hope the rose challenge on romeu gets looked at retrospectively, the one that nearly took his eye out. In fact rose seemed to get away with a hell of a lot today.
  2. Nasty elbow on romeu. Surprised that wasn't a card. Actually, I'm not.
  3. 3-1 defeat. I don't see us getting anything from this one.
  4. Utterly ridiculous comment. He'll want to be on the south coast, no way will he sign for west brom.
  5. What, small, yellow and smoked?
  6. They're also quoting much lower odds on us signing walcott or oxlade, and I can't see those happening either.
  7. I can't believe he could possibly need more money than he already has, so that's an excellent point. Still can't see this happening though.
  8. The same people are always the first to shout olé when we're in front, cruising and passing it around.
  9. The "big" clubs seem to be ignoring them and taking the slap on the wrist. That said, I'm in the Not Going To Happen camp here.
  10. I'm not sorry spurs lost out on the title. And it was a bit galling to see poch leave, but we all seem to be forgetting that he told us if cortese left there would be no point in him staying. He stayed until the end of the season and gave us time to pick out a replacement. He was always corteses man, and seemed to view him as central to the project.
  11. How the hell did you manage to get that far through redslos post? I managed two lines of it.
  12. Brilliant achievement, and I echo the comments above about this opening up the prem. But I've got to say it, their game against us left a really sour taste in my mouth. Not because we lost, but the way they played. Vardy is obviously a terrific goalscorer, but that two footed legbreaker that (iirc) he didn't even get booked for?? Wtf was going on there? And they got every reffing decision that day. I started watching that match almost hoping we'd lose it, but by the end I was wanting spurs to catch them.
  13. There's no point blaming rosenthal, although he was complicit in it. Blame grobbelaar.
  14. That's interesting. You haven't mentioned that before.
  15. ....and flirting with relegation?
  16. Thanks lad, that ones working for me.
  17. Cheers, but the site is flagging up a security issue and the pc won't let me use it.
  18. Anyone got any decent stream links? Footballstreaming info seems to have disappeared.
  19. There's no doubt he's done a good job. I'm just asking the question, if the board have set a specific target and we fail to achieve it, would it be conceivable that he might be fired rather than walking out.
  20. We all seem to be banging on about keeping big Ron on board, and I'm all for that myself. But he said himself that the club target was 7th or higher this season. I know we had a somewhat more ruthless boardroom under cortese, but if Ron fails to deliver that target, might he not be sacked because of it regardless of the remaining year on his contract?
  21. That's true at the moment, but it depends on what is going to be pumped into the club which is what charlie was suggesting. He might view them as a potential leicester scenario, this season has thrown open all sorts of possibilities.
  22. Don't sweat it. It only took him a week to learn English after he left us.
