  1. absolutely the third series where cooper had to escape from hell would have been sweet. as it is, it just sends up with the evil cooper stalking the real world. although, i get the impression that some of this ended up in Lost Highway, which is fracking amazing.
  2. Ahhh, that's nice everyone's friends again. So children, lets go over what we've learnt today. Only people who have served in the armed forces can say which days people can and can't protest on. The reason behind this is far too obvious to state. And people can only protest as long as its not against the armed forces, which sounds fine to me, and lets face it, anyone who isn't in the armed forces is a coward. If in doubt remember the equation, white people shouting at coloured people - so british it makes my heart sing, coloured people shouting at white people - the worst insult imaginable. And the Nazi Party/NF/BNP/Black Shirts/what ever they call themselves these days are all lovely people who definitely aren't racists. Agreed? Good, lets all move on with our lives. Join us next week for another episode of 'extremists say the funniest things!' p.s. I love all of you. p.p.s. delldays, sometimes I think I love you a bit too much. i've got some photo's if you're up for trading.
  3. Yes I can, the BDL represents nothing but bad news for any one who gives two hoots about this country. As several people have pointed out already, how are gangs of skinhead thugs throwing bricks at men, women and children leaving a mosque going to do anything but heighten the problem? How is talking about a war between whites and asians going to do anything but make society a far worse place? yes they are, in the same way that you or i can stand on a street yelling anti-british abuse at troops. sorry delldays, freedom of speech isn't for whites only and can't be switched off the moment someone says something you personally disagree with. but don't worry, the far-right state so many of you are dreaming of is clearly on its way. For peoples info, the EDL dates back to the start of the 20th century (its blinkered undeveloped mentality is the give-away) which bravely defended our streets from the Irish menace and the Jewish influx. Thank god they did or we would have the filthy foreign types living amongst us today. And on a football theme, I had a look at the facebook group set up for the soton branch of Death to Johnny Foreigner League, and its twin beliefs are 'we hate muslims as much as we hate pompy'. Not only are these fat skinhead thugs going to ruin society, they are going to drag the name of saints fc through mud first.
  4. get used to it Having read the views on this thread i feel sick to my stomach. I thought we'd evolved as a species beyond blaming everything on people who have the nerve to look and act differently to us. The English Defence League? This name conjures up images of gangs of skinheads roaming the streets for someone a bit foreign looking to beat up. Not a far-right organisation! If this wasn't so deadly serious I'd be laughing for the rest of my life. This all seems to be based on the hugely inflated news story from a few months ago. An anti-war protest held against the least popular war in living memory, wow that’s really shocking. No wait, its news because the protestors had funny coloured skins and didn't believe in our particular brand of religion. So now it’s a disgrace to every brave soldier killed in combat. EDF = far-right nutters who pose the real threat to our way of life. they must be stopped :smt070
  5. The NME show sounds pretty amazing. Due to bad luck and a degree of laziness on my part, I only saw them once, but they were suitably unforgettable. I wasn't convinced by Steve Malkmus's solo stuff until i saw him live at green man last year, and yes i was hoping he'd play a few tracks off crooked rain but had big up respek for him not playing any pavement tunes at all. and then i think i found peace within myself that maybe pavement won't tour again. and now this!!!! Yeah, i'm sure ATP are on the phone to them as we speak/i type. And if they do a whole album live thing, i'm praying for crooked rain, although wowee zowee if more likely as that's their fave pavement album. dammit, i'd pay good money to see them play kerplunk.
  6. One of the greatest bands of my lifetime, I'd absolutely love to see them play live again. At the mo though, they're only playing a one-off gig in nu yoik. If they do a proper tour THEN I WILL PHUKING BE THERE!!!!!! :smt036
  7. Its bound to be millionaire sex-pest Gary Linaker. Literally.
  8. absolutely here are the classifications of good and bad aids... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kFNs2mOkKzc
  9. And now you both have very very bad aids indeed.
  10. i'm going to play my cultural snob card... anyone who buys a tabloid paper, or any of those tacky Heat style magazines, or watches tabloid television on sky, has helped create this climate where pointless ****z like these get headlines day after day after day after day for absolutely no reason. it also reflects on the shocking state of journalism in this country today, where editors would rather let agents and press releases dominate their front pages, as opposed to news.
  11. absolutely i'm so un-hip i don't even know what that means
  12. a final word on the 9/11 business for now should surely go to those responsible... http://www.theonion.com/content/video/9_11_conspiracy_theories?utm_source=infocus
  13. My league this season is most likely going to be a three horse race, and I'd predicted a transitional season (clearing out the league 7 rubbish from my squad) with us being the third place team at the end. my first game was against a major rival and, as several key players started the season on wretched form, my team was a bit of a mess (I even had to buy in a 34 year old centre back to hold the defence together). but my fears were put to rest when we started the better team and despite missing two good chances, we dominated the first half. 15 mins in to the second half we scored and looked incredibly comfortable but I just knew that they would have at least one good chance. And they did, a breathless counter attack (with 89 mins and 53 secs of the match gone - I sh1t you not) carved my team open but their striker almost broke the cross-bar from a couple of yards out. Ha! We scrambled the ball away and the final whistle went. An incredible start to the season and probably the most nerve-wracking game of my hattrick career. Massive win.
  14. Awesome, i'll give it a go. I think Taxi Driver was origianlly pitched as a modern day american version of that very book. It crops up a lot in American Psycho, too.
  15. I watched Gomorrah last night, a very gritty portrayal of life in the mafia which makes The Soprano's look like Beverly Hills 90210. Its low-budget realist cinema with a strong documentary feel, no background music, no happy endings and no illusion that violence is cool or glamorous. It does have the odd flash of surreal humour which helps to lighten the load. It reminded me of The Wire and '4 Months, 3 Weeks, 2 Days', both of which are highly recommended. Plus... The word on the new Bad Lieutenant film with Nic Cage is that its utterly insane and well worth a squirt! Hurrah!
  16. Has anyone tried http://listen.grooveshark.com/ ? Its an American version of spotify which has a much much wider selection of tracks and NO ADVERTS!!! the catch is that its a minefield of half-arsed programming. but here's my mix http://listen.grooveshark.com/#/playlist/Killblinton_s_Playlist_2/16098393
  17. Invade up the post office more like. The whole Afghan situation is turning really nasty and the public opinion backlash is definitely on its way. Most agree that the Taliban won't be defeated whilst so much heroin is still being produced and so much money is flowing into their pockets. There was a great programme on radio 4 about the Afghan anti-drug squad, how slowly but surely they've got their act together and actually started to convict the major drug barons. And then Mr Karzai went and pardoned a dozen or so of them. And then rigged an election that has cost hundreds of Western lives and thousands of Afghan lives. We can't just walk out on them, but at the same time we can't force our western values upon them, as pretty much every major empire of the last 200 years has tried to do and failed spectacularly.
  18. Yes we can, and after cancelling the domestic one day competition, we essentially have. Thank God we're world beaters at 20/20
  19. if only they'd been Iranian passenger jets *badum-tish!* ithankyou seeing how the Bush administration phucked up everything it touched its hard to believe in any all encompassing conspiracy. but how come the flight recorders were never found, presumably they melted in the intense heat, whilst passports of the terrorists (many of whom, as has been pointed out already, are still alive) were found amongst the rubble. and there's the three mosad agents who were sat on a building top watching the twin towers (like they somehow knew something was going to happen) and were then arrested for celebrating their destruction like it was 1999. they were held for months before they were handed back to the Israeli's. as far as I can tell, this is one of the very few concrete truths of the whole shebang.
  20. I think you'll find that the red was actually the blood of women and children. When it comes to tyranny and oppression, the Nazi's were pussies compared to us
  21. if Man City get banned from buying players for 18 months i'll be laughing the whole time
  22. I was on Portsmouth high street trying to get people to sign up to support The Children's Society, and despite talking to locals all day long no one mentioned it once. It was only on the train home that some very garbled news started leaking through. The next day i was on soton high street and every time a plane flew over everyone froze, very creepy.

    Violence

I loved football with my fighting in the 70s, not nearly as much as throwing banana's at black players or smearing dog-sh1t on all the P*ki's doors. Oh God, i 'spose i'm not even allowed to say that in Brown's PC Britain, here come the thought police etc etc etc
  24. Agree faux irish rock = crime against humanity
