Personally, I think that if Brighton continue this poor form until the end of the season, they are nailing their own coffin for next year. They will go into next year without the confidence and the sense of unbeatability that has won them plenty of games alone this year. They will realise they are fallible and that obstinate side that never said die and won them games at the death this year will be no more. Silly mistake from Poyet, IMO.

Are you really going to use that as an argument? It doesn't even make sense. What's divine right to rule got to do with going to public school and/or elected politicians? Just because they have a similar education, doesn't mean they have divine right to being Prime Minister. What an interesting line of argument on a thread about the monarchy. You and others have said that the royals have powers that are meaningless - the fact that she got herself removed from having to adhere to the race relations act shows that those powers are real and do affect peoples lives.

Am I right in thinking that the original race relations act was later changed to remove the Queen from being part of it? Why was that?

If you are going to hold something symbolic in high regard, don't get upset when others don't share that view.
